PUROLATOR PACKAGE TRACKING

Purolator Tracking

Track one supported Purolator courier tracking number or PIN. The result is a public shipment record from recorded carrier events—not continuous GPS—and ordinary courier, Freight, International, PuroPost, and Your Way workflows are not identical.

Spaces and dashes are accepted.

Independent tracking lookup. 11Tracking is not Purolator and cannot manage a Purolator delivery.

Use the Purolator tracking form on this page to check one supported Purolator courier tracking number or PIN at a time. The result is a public shipment record built from recorded carrier events. It is not continuous GPS, and it may not show every physical movement.

Purolator operates several distinct tracking and delivery systems. An ordinary Canadian courier shipment, Purolator Freight load, Purolator International order, PuroPost parcel, Purolator Vision account shipment, and Purolator Your Way delivery-management link do not use one identical workflow.

The result may identify a service or delivery partner when that information is available. Before applying a status rule, check the exact event, shipment source, service type, destination, and official Purolator system where the identifier works.

Track a Purolator package on this page

Enter the Purolator courier tracking number or PIN supplied on the shipping label, receipt, merchant confirmation, or official shipment notification.

This page accepts one general courier number at a time. It does not provide dedicated input or account modes for:

  • multiple PINs;
  • a shipper, consignee, purchase-order, or other reference;
  • a Purolator Freight BOL, pickup, or reference number;
  • Purolator International advanced tracking;
  • a PuroPost service selector;
  • Purolator Vision;
  • Purolator Your Way;
  • an SMS delivery-management link;
  • a digital doorknocker;
  • a hold-for-pickup request;
  • an address correction or redirection case;
  • remote Signature Release;
  • Photo Proof of Delivery;
  • authenticated Proof of Delivery;
  • a trace investigation;
  • a claim.

Purolator’s official tracker can accept a PIN or reference and can process multiple shipments. Purolator International and Purolator Freight use separate trackers with additional identifier types. Those official capabilities are not the same as the current 11Tracking form.

A merchant order number is not automatically a Purolator PIN or valid reference. If no result appears, verify the shipment type and official system before deciding that the shipment does not exist.

Treat identifiers as shipment data. Do not publish a full PIN, reference, BOL, purchase order, doorknocker, address, delivery photo, signature, or proof document.

What a Purolator tracking result confirms

The strongest exact event controls what can safely be concluded.

Strongest visible evidenceWhat it supportsWhat it does not establish by itself
Number recognized or shipment information createdA Purolator-associated shipment record existsPhysical possession by Purolator

A missing event leaves uncertainty in both directions.

The same applies to scan gaps.

Purolator tracking is event-based, not continuous GPS

Purolator says tracking information updates when a shipment passes through a Purolator facility. It also says the public record can remain unchanged for several days when the next stop is more than a day away.

Purolator uses marketing terms such as real-time and near real-time for tracking and notifications. The operational limit still matters:

The visible time can reflect several systems:

physical event
→ driver or facility scan
→ Purolator system publication
→ provider ingestion
→ 11Tracking display

Therefore:

There is no safe universal rule that every Purolator shipment must update within the same number of hours or days.

Use the exact last event, estimated date, service type, and current service alerts. A service alert provides network context; it does not prove the cause or location of one shipment.

Read the exact Purolator event

A normalized parent status can hide possession, route failure, address intervention, pickup readiness, proof mode, or a partner handoff.

Shipment created or electronic information

This supports that a shipment record, label, or bill of lading was created.

Pickup or a later Purolator facility event is stronger possession evidence.

Use the Label Created guide for the reusable sender-versus-carrier decision.

Picked up or processed at a facility

This is stronger evidence that Purolator received or processed the shipment.

A later facility event can establish downstream possession even if an expected earlier pickup event is not visible.

In transit

This is a recorded network-movement or processing state. It is not continuous location.

Use In Transit when the same broad status repeats or the timeline has stopped changing.

On delivery or on vehicle for delivery

This is a local delivery-route event.

It does not guarantee:

  • a specific arrival time;
  • a live driver map;
  • uninterrupted route completion;
  • delivery that day under every condition.

Use Out for Delivery or Out for Delivery but Not Delivered.

“Delayed due to missed delivery” does not mean you missed the driver

Purolator gives this status an unusually specific meaning.

Delayed due to missed delivery means the driver was unable to make a delivery attempt.

Purolator gives possible examples such as:

  • an on-road emergency;
  • illness;
  • an accident;
  • insufficient time to complete the route.

Therefore:

Read the later event to learn whether the package returns to a route, moves to pickup, or enters another exception branch.

Do not use this status as evidence that the recipient was absent, failed to answer, or ignored a delivery attempt.

Residential and business delivery attempts are different

Current Purolator guidance distinguishes:

Residential delivery:
one delivery attempt
→ notice or doorknocker
→ pickup hold

Business delivery:
up to three delivery attempts
→ pickup hold

These are current ordinary-courier guidelines, not universal guarantees for every specialized service, Freight shipment, Purolator International order, PuroPost parcel, or partner delivery.

Up to three attempts does not mean exactly three attempts.

A doorknocker or notice supports that a delivery or pickup workflow was recorded. It does not independently prove every physical action by the driver, such as ringing, knocking, calling, waiting for a particular period, or finding nobody present.

A doorknocker or pickup request does not mean the package is ready

Keep these states separate:

delivery notice or hold request
→ shipment intercept or processing
→ transfer to pickup location
→ Purolator availability confirmation
→ customer collection

The selected location, paper doorknocker, digital doorknocker, or hold request does not by itself prove the package is physically available.

Purolator Your Way says it sends a confirmation when the package is ready for pickup.

Digital doorknocker

For an eligible Purolator Your Way pickup, the receiver can present the digital doorknocker on a phone together with government-issued identification.

The digital doorknocker is:

  • an official pickup artifact;
  • not the public tracking number;
  • not universal authorization;
  • not generated or validated by 11Tracking.

Identification and another collector

Pickup requirements can depend on the shipment, named receiver, address, and person collecting it.

Use Purolator’s current instructions for identification and authorization. Do not publish government ID, a doorknocker, pickup code, authorization, or address.

Holding period

Purolator’s current ordinary residential guidance says a shipment can be held for a maximum of five business days, with exceptions.

Do not apply this period automatically to:

  • Purolator Freight;
  • PuroPost;
  • Canada Post final mile;
  • Purolator International;
  • another specialized or partner service.

The current official pickup notice controls.

Address Correction Required and delivery-change requests

Address Correction Required is an action-required event. Use Purolator’s official Virtual Assistant, Customer Service, or eligible Purolator Your Way flow.

The event or submitted request does not prove:

  • the receiver is allowed to change the address;
  • the shipper permits it;
  • the corrected address is serviceable;
  • Purolator accepted the request;
  • the routing change is complete.

Some shippers restrict receiver-requested changes.

Keep these actions separate:

  • address correction;
  • redirect to another address;
  • hold for pickup;
  • change pickup location;
  • redelivery;
  • remote Signature Release.

Each can have different eligibility, timing, restrictions, and possible charges.

Use the canonical Change, Reroute, or Hold guide for the general decision.

“Shipment resolution in progress” does not have one proven cause

Purolator’s public materials do not provide one sufficiently clear universal definition for Shipment resolution in progress.

Do not automatically interpret it as:

  • address correction;
  • redirect;
  • hold for pickup;
  • intercept;
  • missort;
  • loss;
  • return to sender.

Safe interpretation:

Purolator is processing an unresolved shipment condition or intervention. Read the detailed event history and use official support if no action or later event appears.

Community reports can suggest possible causes, but they do not establish Purolator policy or the cause of one shipment.

Purolator Your Way is a separate SMS delivery-management product

Purolator Your Way is not the ordinary public tracking form.

For eligible shipments, the SMS-linked experience can provide:

  • current shipment status;
  • delivery-location preferences;
  • buzzer instructions;
  • address correction;
  • hold for pickup;
  • digital doorknocker;
  • remote Signature Release;
  • Photo Proof of Delivery access.

Purolator says recipients access the experience through links sent by SMS or text.

Delivery preferences

Available options can include locations such as:

  • front desk;
  • front door;
  • garage;
  • mailroom;
  • porch;
  • rear door;
  • reception;
  • shipping dock;
  • side door.

A saved preference is not a guarantee.

Access, safety, the shipment type, delivery stage, signature requirement, and shipper restrictions can change the result.

U.S. and international limits

Current Purolator FAQ says recipients can receive Your Way SMS notifications for shipments destined to U.S. addresses but cannot set delivery preferences for those shipments.

Do not assume broader international delivery-management eligibility. Use the exact current official SMS flow and shipment eligibility.

Address correction and hold

Purolator Your Way can route an eligible receiver to address-correction or hold-for-pickup actions. A confirmation of availability or completed correction remains a separate event.

Remote Signature Release

Remote Signature Release is conditional.

Purolator says it cannot be used for shipments requiring government-issued identification and proof of age. Shipper restrictions or a service that requires a signature can also block release.

Do not state that every receiver can waive every signature.

Signature, SNR, O-SNR, Adult Signature, and Delivered are different

Signature Required

A signature record supports that Purolator recorded a signatory.

It does not automatically prove that the person named on the label personally signed.

Purolator’s current terms treat a person accepting or signing at delivery as the receiver’s agent for the carrier contract. That is not proof of the named addressee’s personal identity.

Signature Not Required

Purolator distinguishes:

  • SNR — receiver-elected Signature Not Required;
  • O-SNR — shipper-elected Origin Signature Not Required.

Do not treat these as the same actor decision.

Adult Signature Required

Adult Signature Required is a separate service for eligible domestic Canadian shipments.

Current Purolator terms require government-issued photo identification and apply a province- or territory-specific age threshold. The current terms state:

  • 18 in Alberta;
  • 21 in Quebec;
  • 19 in other Canadian provinces and territories.

These rules are service- and jurisdiction-specific and can change. They must not be applied to ordinary Signature, international shipments, or another carrier.

Adult Signature Required cannot be left unattended.

Alternative signature

Some Purolator services can use an alternative signature mode, including a verbal signature.

Do not assume that every signature record contains a handwritten image.

Photo Proof of Delivery is conditional

Purolator Photo Proof of Delivery can provide one or multiple photos for eligible shipments that do not require a signature, including:

  • O-SNR shipments;
  • eligible shipments where a Purolator Your Way Signature Release was completed.

Photo POD is not universal.

Purolator lists reasons why a photo may not be captured:

  • the shipment was handed directly to the receiver;
  • the shipment was handed to a third party at the destination;
  • no safe and secure location was available;
  • photography was prohibited at the delivery address.

Therefore:

Access and retention

Purolator says delivery photos are available through selected official tracking and account tools after the user is authenticated as a party to the shipment.

Current guidance says photos are stored for up to one year after shipment.

This 11Tracking page does not retrieve, display, cache, or analyze the private photo.

What a photo proves

A Photo POD can support:

  • carrier-recorded placement;
  • appearance of the delivery location;
  • recorded delivery-time evidence.

It does not independently prove:

  • personal receipt by the named receiver;
  • address correctness beyond the carrier record;
  • authority of a third-party receiver;
  • continued possession;
  • contents condition;
  • theft;
  • driver misconduct;
  • legal liability.

Do not publicly share a delivery photo that exposes a person, home, address, vehicle, access point, or security detail.

Proof of Delivery is private and authentication-limited

Basic tracking can be visible with a PIN. Authenticated Proof of Delivery can contain private details such as:

  • pickup address;
  • delivery address;
  • delivery signature;
  • other shipment information.

Purolator can require additional shipment or account validation.

Current terms say electronic POD can remain available for up to one year from shipment, and a hard copy can be requested through eligible official routes. Availability, validation, retention, fees, and requester eligibility can change.

This page does not retrieve:

  • a signature;
  • the signer’s identity;
  • Photo POD;
  • an electronic POD;
  • a hard-copy POD.

A proof artifact strengthens the carrier record. It does not prove every disputed fact.

Use the canonical Proof of Delivery guide for the evidence decision.

Purolator, Canada Post, and PuroPost are not one tracking system

Purolator states that Canada Post owns 91% of the company.

That corporate relationship does not merge their operational systems.

PuroPost

PuroPost is a Purolator International service for U.S. businesses shipping e-commerce parcels to Canada.

Current official Purolator International material describes:

  • U.S.-to-Canada cross-border movement;
  • full tracking;
  • end delivery through Canada Post;
  • access to Canadian residential, community-mailbox, P.O.-box, parcel-locker, rural, and remote destinations.

The likely evidence sequence is:

Purolator International pickup
→ U.S. processing and transportation
→ customs and Canadian induction
→ Canada Post final delivery

A Purolator or PuroPost handoff event does not by itself prove that Canada Post recorded item-level acceptance. A later Canada Post possession or facility event is stronger evidence.

The current 11Tracking Purolator form does not promise:

  • every PuroPost reference type;
  • automatic PuroPost service detection;
  • discovery of a Canada Post number;
  • a complete merged Purolator and Canada Post timeline.

If a Canada Post identifier is available, compare it in Canada Post Tracking.

Purolator Courier, Freight, and Purolator International are separate

Purolator Courier

The ordinary Canadian parcel network uses Purolator courier tracking and receiver-delivery tools.

Purolator Freight

Purolator Freight is a separate LTL and TL system. Its official tracker can use:

  • BOL or PIN;
  • pickup number;
  • reference number.

This consumer courier page does not promise Freight tracking.

Purolator International

Purolator International is Purolator’s U.S.-based subsidiary for cross-border and business logistics.

Its official advanced tracker accepts up to 25 numbers and supports options such as:

  • tracking number;
  • consignee reference;
  • shipper reference;
  • purchase order.

This 11Tracking form does not provide those advanced modes.

Purolator Vision

Purolator Vision is an enterprise multi-shipment tracking tool, not an ordinary public consumer tracker.

Purolator International customers can use different systems depending on service and stage. PuroPost, LTL, and Ground Linehaul can remain in the Purolator International Client Portal while in the United States.

Purolator and customs are separate actors

For an international shipment, the actor sequence can include:

shipper
→ Purolator or Purolator International
→ broker and document process
→ customs authority
→ Purolator or partner delivery network
→ receiver

Purolator can:

  • transport the shipment;
  • provide brokerage support;
  • transmit customs documents;
  • provide duty and tariff tools;
  • collect applicable charges;
  • publish shipment events.

Customs authorities control:

  • admissibility;
  • inspection;
  • classification;
  • duties and taxes decisions;
  • release.

Therefore:

International procedures and restrictions are highly volatile. Use Purolator’s current service alerts and customs pages instead of applying one evergreen deadline or fee rule.

Trace and claim are separate workflows

Purolator says a trace investigation must be started before a claim for:

  • a lost shipment;
  • missing contents.

Damage can enter a claim process with supporting evidence.

Potential evidence can include:

  • tracking number or PIN;
  • original Bill of Lading or manifest;
  • cost invoice;
  • photos of the item and packaging;
  • repair estimate;
  • trace or case number;
  • other shipment documents.

Retain damaged contents and packaging until Purolator confirms the claim process is complete.

Who should act?

Purolator’s public materials do not safely support either universal statement:

only the sender can ever submit a Purolator claim
any receiver is entitled to claim compensation

The real route can depend on:

  • shipper;
  • receiver;
  • account;
  • payer;
  • Bill of Lading;
  • ownership;
  • declared value;
  • underlying contract;
  • shipment service.

For a retail purchase, the merchant is often the strongest first contact because it normally controls:

  • the order remedy;
  • replacement or refund;
  • original shipping documents;
  • cost evidence;
  • declared value;
  • carrier contract.

Purolator’s claim terms were amended effective July 19, 2026. This page does not calculate compensation or state legal entitlement.

Use the canonical Package Claim guide for the general evidence and responsibility workflow.

Protect Purolator shipment data

Treat these as sensitive:

  • tracking number or PIN;
  • shipper, consignee, or purchase-order reference;
  • BOL;
  • address;
  • phone number or email;
  • buzzer code;
  • paper or digital doorknocker;
  • pickup location and access details;
  • government ID;
  • delivery photo;
  • signature;
  • POD validation data;
  • commercial invoice;
  • customs document;
  • claim evidence.

A PIN can expose shipment and delivery details. Keep proof private and redact it before sharing.

This page does not need a screenshot, doorknocker, ID, address, photo, signature, invoice, or claim document to explain the general next step.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track a Purolator reference on this page?

This page does not provide a dedicated reference workflow. Purolator’s official tracker can accept a PIN or reference, and Purolator International supports additional reference types.

Can I enter multiple Purolator tracking numbers?

No. This page accepts one general Purolator courier PIN at a time. Purolator’s official systems support additional multi-number workflows.

Is Purolator tracking live GPS?

No. It is a recorded facility, route, and delivery-event history. Purolator says several days can pass without a new event when the next stop is more than a day away.

Does shipment information mean Purolator has the package?

Not necessarily. A pickup or later facility event is stronger evidence of physical possession.

What does On vehicle for delivery mean?

It means Purolator recorded a local delivery-route stage. It does not provide continuous driver location or guarantee a specific arrival time.

What does Delayed due to missed delivery mean?

Purolator says it means the driver was unable to make the delivery attempt. It does not mean that the recipient missed an attempted delivery.

How many delivery attempts does Purolator make?

Current ordinary-courier guidance says one attempt for a residential delivery and up to three attempts for a business delivery. Exceptions and other services can differ.

Does a doorknocker mean the shipment is ready for pickup?

No. Wait for Purolator’s availability confirmation. The notice or selected location can precede the physical transfer.

What is a digital doorknocker?

It is an eligible Purolator Your Way pickup artifact that can be shown on a phone with required identification. It is not the public tracking number.

Can I change the delivery address?

An eligible address correction can be requested through Purolator Your Way, the Virtual Assistant, or Customer Service. Shipper and operational restrictions can block it, and submission does not prove completion.

What is Purolator Your Way?

It is an SMS-linked receiver-delivery product that can provide notifications, preferences, hold for pickup, address correction, digital doorknocker, and eligible Signature Release.

Are Purolator SMS links genuine?

Some are legitimate Purolator Your Way links, and some can be fraudulent smishing. Open Purolator independently and compare the PIN and event before using a message link.

Can I release every Purolator signature remotely?

No. Government-ID and proof-of-age shipments are excluded, and shipper or service restrictions can also block Signature Release.

Does every Purolator delivery have a photo?

No. Photo POD applies to eligible no-signature shipments, and Purolator lists several reasons why no photo may be captured.

Why might there be no Photo POD?

The package can have been handed directly to the receiver or another person, no safe location may have existed, or photography may have been prohibited.

Does a Photo POD prove I received the package?

No. It records carrier evidence of the delivery location. It does not prove personal receipt, continued possession, contents condition, theft, or misconduct.

Can 11Tracking show my Purolator signature or POD?

No. Purolator proof tools require authentication and can expose private shipment data. Use the official Purolator proof route.

Is Purolator the same as Canada Post?

No. Canada Post owns 91% of Purolator, but the carriers have separate tracking, services, networks, pickup locations, proof, and claim processes.

What is PuroPost?

PuroPost is a Purolator International U.S.-to-Canada e-commerce service. Current official material describes end delivery through Canada Post.

Does a PuroPost handoff mean Canada Post has accepted it?

Not necessarily. A handoff or induction event is separate from a Canada Post item-level possession or facility event.

Can I track Purolator Freight here?

This page does not promise dedicated Freight support. Use Purolator Freight tracking for BOL, pickup, and freight-reference workflows.

Who controls an international Purolator shipment in customs?

The relevant customs authority controls inspection, admissibility, classification, duties and taxes decisions, and release. Purolator can transport and provide brokerage support.

What is the difference between a trace and a claim?

A trace is an investigation. Purolator says a lost shipment or missing-contents claim requires a trace first.

Who should file a Purolator claim?

The correct actor depends on the shipment contract, account, payer, documents, ownership, and claim type. For a retail purchase, contact the merchant first.

Can 11Tracking redirect or claim a Purolator package?

No. 11Tracking can perform a supported lookup and explain the public record. USTracking can save a supported shipment and monitor future public events. Neither service can change delivery, retrieve proof, contact Purolator, start a trace, file a claim, clear customs, or recover the package.

  • Delayed due to missed delivery means the driver could not make the delivery attempt; it does not mean the recipient missed an attempt.
  • Current ordinary-courier attempt guidance differs for residential and business destinations and does not cover every service.
  • A doorknocker, hold request, selected location, transfer, availability confirmation, and collection are separate states.
  • Address correction, redirect, hold, redelivery, and Signature Release are separate eligibility-limited actions.
  • A submitted action request does not prove acceptance or completion.

  • Customs authorities control admissibility, inspection, classification, duties and taxes decisions, and release.
  • Service alerts provide network context, not item-specific proof.
  • A trace is required before some lost-shipment or missing-contents claims.
