Package Tracking Help

Understand missing scans, delivery statuses, customs events and the practical next step for your shipment.

Where to find a tracking number

Look in the shipping confirmation email, order shipment details, carrier receipt or parcel label. Preserve letters and leading zeros. A store order number is often different from the number issued by the delivery carrier.

Why a tracking number is not found

A label can exist before the carrier completes the first physical scan. Recopy the number, confirm the carrier and make sure you did not enter a retailer order ID. If the shipment is new, check again after the sender has handed it over.

An old number may no longer be retained by the carrier, and some reference, notice-card or door-tag identifiers work only in an official carrier tool.

Why tracking has not updated

Packages are not scanned continuously. A shipment can move between facilities for hours or days without a public event. Weekends, holidays, severe weather, customs review and a transfer between partners can lengthen the gap.

Use the newest timestamp and carrier-provided estimate as context. Do not assume a package is lost only because no new scan is visible.

Label created

The sender submitted shipment information and usually printed a label. The carrier may still be waiting for the parcel. The next useful milestone is normally an acceptance or pickup scan.

In transit

The carrier has the package and is routing it through the network. The wording may remain unchanged between hubs and does not by itself indicate a delay.

Out for delivery

The parcel reached a local delivery route. A delivery attempt is commonly planned that day, but route capacity, access or weather can move it to a later date.

Delivery exception

The normal delivery plan changed. Read the detailed carrier note for an address issue, weather event, failed attempt, damaged label or another stated cause. Follow only instructions shown through an official carrier channel.

Customs processing

Cross-border shipments can require document review, inspection, duty or tax assessment, or information from the sender or recipient. Public tracking may show only major milestones. A customs event is not automatically a problem.

International carrier handoff

An origin carrier may transfer the parcel to a destination postal operator for final delivery. The original number can remain valid, while a second local number may show more precise pickup or delivery events. Keep both identifiers until delivery.

Delivered but not received

  1. Read the exact delivery note and check the mailbox, porch, reception, parcel locker, side entrance and listed safe place.
  2. Ask household members, neighbors or building staff whether they accepted it.
  3. Check picture proof or recipient details when the official carrier tool provides them.
  4. If the parcel is still missing, contact the sender and the carrier responsible for final delivery.

When to contact the carrier

Contact the sender or carrier when a status requests action, the carrier-provided delivery window has passed, or a delivered parcel cannot be found after the checks above. 11Tracking cannot change an address, contact a driver, schedule redelivery or open a claim.

Safety reminder

11Tracking never collects customs or redelivery payments. Use the carrier's official website whenever a shipment message requests money or sensitive information.
