How to track a GLS Spain parcel
For a GLS Spain shipment, use:
- the GLS shipment tracking number supplied by the sender or merchant;
- the destination postcode attached to the delivery address.
The official GLS Spain tracking surface separates national and international shipments before requesting the number and destination postcode. Use the route type shown by the sender or in the official notification when it is available.
On 11Tracking, enter one supported GLS Spain shipment at a time. The tracking result can display public events supported by the current tracking service. It cannot open private My GLS data, change a delivery, retrieve a locker code, or download restricted proof of delivery.
The postcode is required but is not part of the number
The destination postcode helps the official tracking system identify and protect the shipment record. Treat it as a separate verification value.
Do not:
- append the postcode to the tracking number;
- enter the sender's postcode when the system asks for the destination postcode;
- enter a complete street address;
- use a locker code, IdentPIN, or notification credential as the postcode;
- publish the postcode in a URL, screenshot, message, or public support post.
A tracking number not found result can come from a mistyped number, the wrong postcode, the wrong national GLS operator, a shipment not yet activated, or a number belonging to the merchant rather than GLS.
National and international shipments
The Spanish official surface asks the user to choose between national and international tracking. That choice describes the route context; it does not change the evidence rule.
For either route:
- a created record does not prove possession;
- the destination postcode remains separate;
- a cross-border shipment can pass through another GLS company or partner;
- the Spanish page should be used when GLS Spain is the relevant Spanish operator or public tracking surface.
Do not assume that every number branded GLS belongs to GLS Spain. Germany, Italy, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, the United States, and other GLS operations can use separate tracking systems, rules, and support teams.
What is a Track ID?
A Track ID can appear on an eligible delivery notification. It is a shipment-specific access credential used in an official GLS workflow. It is not a merchant order number and should not be confused with a Parcel Shop or locker collection code.
Support for Track ID can differ between tracking systems. Use the exact field and instructions shown in the current official GLS Spain notification. Do not assume that every third-party tracker accepts it.
What not to enter
Do not use:
- a shop order number;
- a marketplace order ID;
- an invoice number;
- a return authorisation without a GLS label;
- a Parcel Shop collection code;
- a locker opening code;
- an IdentPIN;
- a complete address or recipient identity number.
The merchant may display several references. Look for wording such as GLS tracking number, número de envío, or a direct link to the GLS Spain tracker.
What GLS Spain is
GLS Spain is the Spanish national operation of the GLS parcel network. The legal entity is General Logistics Systems Spain, S.A.
The Spanish delivery system is not one building or one customer-service desk. It can involve:
- corporate delegations;
- hubs and depots;
- collaborating agencies;
- delivery contractors;
- GLS Points and Parcel Shops;
- parcel lockers;
- another GLS country company on an international route;
- a customs authority for applicable territories.
This matters when deciding whom to contact. Central customer service may see the public event history, while a local agency or delegation controls the physical parcel. The sender may be the only party authorised to change a postcode, submit customs documents, request contractual proof, or file a transport claim.
Agency does not automatically mean another carrier
A scan mentioning an agency, delegation, hub, or local branch can be an internal stage within GLS Spain. It does not automatically prove that the parcel was handed to an unrelated delivery company.
The useful question is not only “Which name appears?” but:
Does the event record physical receipt, routing, storage, placement on a delivery vehicle, deposit at a collection point, or completed delivery?
Why a parcel may travel through another city
GLS Spain uses a network rather than a straight line from origin to destination. A parcel can move through a hub, depot, or agency selected for sorting and route consolidation. A city shown in tracking is the location of a recorded event, not necessarily an error in the delivery address.
Escalate when:
- the destination postcode is wrong;
- the route repeatedly cycles without progress;
- an exception asks for sender instructions;
- the expected delivery period has passed materially;
- customs or address information is requested;
- the parcel is marked delivered but cannot be located.
GLS Spain status meanings
GLS Spain publishes a compact Spanish status ladder. Preserve the exact Spanish wording because each event supports a different conclusion.
| GLS Spain status | What it confirms | What it does not confirm | Usually useful next step |
|---|---|---|---|
Etiqueta creada | Shipment data or a label was created electronically | GLS physical possession, pickup, movement, or a delivery commitment | Compare with the sender's dispatch promise |
Envío recogido por GLS | GLS recorded physical receipt in its network | Arrival near the destination or final-mile assignment | Monitor the next network events |
En tránsito | The parcel is moving through the GLS network toward the responsible destination operation | A direct route, continuous GPS, or delivery today | Allow for hub, depot, agency, and linehaul gaps |
En reparto | The parcel was assigned to the delivery route or vehicle | Guaranteed delivery at an exact time or successful same-day completion | Keep access available and watch for route updates |
Entregado | GLS recorded a completed delivery outcome | Personal receipt by the named buyer, condition of contents, or one universal proof method | Check the recorded place, person, or collection method |
Etiqueta creada: label created
Etiqueta creada is digital preregistration. The sender or its shipping system transmitted the shipment data, but GLS Spain has not yet published physical receipt.
This status can appear when:
- a merchant printed the label before packing;
- a warehouse created the shipment before GLS collection;
- a pickup is scheduled for later;
- a data transfer was completed but the parcel was not handed over;
- the sender later cancels or replaces the label.
A long label-only period is usually a sender-side question first. Ask the merchant whether the parcel was physically handed to GLS and whether the number is final.
Envío recogido por GLS: physical receipt
This is stronger evidence. GLS Spain states that the parcel was physically received at a point in its network.
It does not prove:
- that the parcel has reached the destination agency;
- that customs is complete;
- that the final-mile driver has it;
- that the delivery date is guaranteed.
The next event may follow quickly on a short peninsular route or after a longer linehaul gap for an island, enclave, international, or customs-sensitive shipment.
En tránsito: moving through the network
En tránsito is a broad transport stage. It can cover movement between:
- origin agency and hub;
- regional hubs;
- depots and destination agencies;
- another GLS country operation;
- a customs or linehaul stage.
A tracking history can remain unchanged during linehaul because public events are created at scan points rather than every kilometre.
En reparto: out for delivery
En reparto means the shipment was placed on the active delivery route. It is the Spanish equivalent of a final-mile out-for-delivery stage.
It is not a guarantee because the route can still be affected by:
- access problems;
- an incomplete address;
- recipient absence;
- vehicle or route disruption;
- a product-specific delivery instruction;
- a Parcel Shop or locker redirection;
- time limits on the driver's route;
- a safety or operational exception.
When the parcel is still En reparto late in the day, do not assume loss. Wait for the final route event. Escalate when it remains unresolved beyond the normal local update period or repeats without a clear outcome.
Entregado: delivered
Entregado records completion in the GLS system. The parcel may have been delivered:
- to the named recipient;
- to another authorised person;
- using a physical or electronic signature;
- using a delivery code or eligible IdentPIN;
- to a reception or goods desk;
- to an authorised address;
- to a GLS Point, Parcel Shop, locker, or agency collection process.
The status alone does not establish which of these happened. Look for the detailed delivery record and contact the sender when proof or a commercial remedy is needed.
Estimated delivery window and route visibility
GLS Spain can show an approximate delivery window for an eligible shipment. When the route view is active and fewer than ten stops remain, the official tracking experience may display additional movement information.
Treat both as orientation.
What the time window can tell you
It can help you estimate:
- the part of the day when the route is expected;
- whether the parcel has moved into final-mile delivery;
- whether a route update has occurred.
It cannot guarantee:
- an exact arrival minute;
- that the driver follows one fixed stop order;
- that the route feature is available for every parcel;
- that no new delivery or operational task will affect the route;
- that delivery will succeed on the first visit.
Is it live GPS?
Not in the universal sense. GLS Spain describes a route-visibility feature for an eligible En reparto shipment when the number of remaining stops becomes low. That is different from unrestricted continuous GPS access to every vehicle.
A third-party tracking page should not promise a live map. Use the official GLS Spain surface when the shipment record offers the feature.
Why GLS Spain tracking may not be updating
A silent history has several possible causes. Diagnose it from the last evidence-bearing event.
The last status is Etiqueta creada
GLS has not published physical receipt. Possible explanations:
- the sender has not handed over the parcel;
- the label was created early;
- the collection has not occurred;
- the number was replaced;
- the order was cancelled;
- data activation is still pending.
Contact the sender when the dispatch promise has passed.
The parcel is in linehaul
A parcel can move between facilities without a new public scan. This is common across long routes, international links, nights, weekends, islands, or consolidated network movements.
A linehaul gap does not prove loss. Compare the duration with the route, service, recent events, and sender estimate.
The parcel crossed an agency boundary
The physical parcel may be transferred between a hub, depot, collaborating agency, or destination delegation. Public events can appear only when the receiving operation scans it.
An agency name inside GLS Spain is not automatically a last-mile carrier change.
Customs or documents are involved
Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Andorra, Gibraltar, and non-EU routes can require customs or fiscal processing. A hold may wait for:
- invoice data;
- content description;
- value;
- identification;
- taxes or duties;
- sender instructions;
- customs release.
GLS can transmit documents and move the parcel, but the customs authority controls release.
The address or postcode needs correction
A wrong postcode can affect both tracking lookup and physical routing. A different-postcode delivery change generally requires the sender's authorisation.
Do not send a full address through an unofficial form or social-media comment.
A Parcel Shop or locker deposit is not complete
A redirection decision is not the same as a readiness scan. Wait for a recorded deposit, arrival, or collection notification before travelling to the point.
Delivery estimates across Spain
A delivery estimate depends on:
- the sender's booked service;
- collection time;
- origin and destination;
- working days;
- network conditions;
- island or enclave transport;
- customs;
- address accuracy;
- delivery options and failed attempts.
Published product pages can describe typical periods, but they are not universal promises for every recipient.
Peninsular Spain
Eligible national services can use short working-day estimates across the peninsula. The exact promise belongs to the booked product and sender contract.
A tracking page should not convert a product estimate into a guaranteed consumer deadline.
Balearic Islands
Balearic routes can add transport time compared with a purely peninsular journey. The event history may include a longer linehaul gap before arrival at the destination operation.
Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla
These destinations can add:
- longer network time;
- air or sea transport;
- customs or fiscal documentation;
- sender or recipient information requests;
- authority-controlled release.
They are Spain-related destinations, but that does not make every movement customs-free.
Andorra and Gibraltar
GLS Spain materials can discuss these destinations within its wider route and customs context. Treat them as separate cross-border or customs-sensitive movements rather than ordinary domestic peninsula delivery.
Delivery attempts in Spain
GLS Spain does not support one universal “two attempts” rule.
EconomyParcel
The current recipient guidance states that an EconomyParcel shipment can receive one delivery attempt. After an unsuccessful attempt, the parcel may be directed to a nearby Parcel Shop or another applicable branch.
Do not wait automatically for a second home visit without checking the new event.
Other booked services
Other services may allow a second attempt. Current contractual terms also describe maximum attempt rules, with product-specific exceptions.
The exact outcome can depend on:
- service purchased by the sender;
- available recipient instructions;
- address and access;
- local agency handling;
- Parcel Shop availability;
- locker eligibility;
- storage rules;
- sender authorisation.
What can happen after an attempt
| Recorded outcome | What it may mean | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Recipient absent | Delivery could not be completed at the address | Check tracking for another attempt or redirection |
| Parcel Shop routing | The shipment is being sent to a collection point | Wait for the deposit/readiness event |
| Locker routing | An eligible locker was selected | Wait for the personal opening code |
| Stored at agency/delegation | The parcel is held locally | Confirm readiness and collection conditions |
| Address problem | The address or postcode cannot be used as recorded | Contact the sender for authorised correction |
| Sender instructions required | GLS needs a contractual instruction | Ask the sender to act |
| Return initiated | Delivery resolution ended and return movement began | Contact the seller about refund or replacement |
A delivery-attempt scan does not prove that a valid notice was received, that the driver reached a specific door, or that a second attempt is guaranteed. Preserve the event and ask for operational clarification when the scan appears inconsistent with access or presence.
Change delivery or address
GLS Spain can offer shipment-specific recipient instructions, but availability is conditional.
Change within the same postcode
Current redirection guidance indicates that an eligible shipment can allow an alternative address within the same postcode. This can preserve the local delivery operation and route.
It is not universal. The option can disappear when:
- the parcel is already on the vehicle;
- the booked service does not support it;
- the sender restricted changes;
- the route or point is not eligible;
- the instruction arrives too late.
Change to a different postcode
A change to another postcode generally requires the sender or merchant to authorise it. This is more than a simple route note because it can alter the responsible agency, service price, delivery commitment, or contractual address.
Contact the seller rather than repeatedly entering a different postcode into tracking.
Other possible instructions
An eligible GLS Spain shipment may offer:
- another delivery date;
- a GLS Point or Parcel Shop;
- a parcel locker;
- agency or delegation collection;
- an authorised alternative address;
- another shipment-specific option shown by GLS.
Only the options displayed for that parcel should be treated as available.
What 11Tracking cannot change
11Tracking cannot:
- change the postcode;
- add an address;
- book redelivery;
- select a Parcel Shop;
- choose a locker;
- contact the driver;
- release a stored parcel;
- update My GLS preferences.
Use the official GLS Spain tracking or My GLS environment for eligible actions.
GLS Point and Parcel Shop collection
A GLS Point is part of the Spanish out-of-home network. A Parcel Shop is a staffed collection location within that network. The exact wording in tracking can vary, but the evidence rule is stable:
Selection or redirection to a point does not mean the parcel is ready. Wait for the recorded deposit or readiness event.
Selecting a point
An eligible shipment can be redirected to an available point through the official workflow. Availability depends on:
- parcel dimensions or service;
- destination area;
- point capacity;
- current route stage;
- sender permissions;
- opening status.
A preferred point may disappear or be replaced if it is full, closed, unsuitable, or unavailable.
Readiness
Travel only after a status or notification confirms deposit at the specific point. Examples can include wording equivalent to:
- deposited at Parcel Shop;
- delivered to the named GLS Point;
- ready for collection.
A redirection request, failed attempt, or point selection is not enough.
Identification and authorised collection
The point can require:
- the shipment notification or tracking reference;
- an identity document;
- authorisation and identification for another collector;
- a signature or collection confirmation.
Follow the exact current notification. Do not publish identity documents or authorisation details online.
How long will a Parcel Shop hold the parcel?
Current official GLS Spain materials do not present one stable universal number. Currently hosted sources contain statements equivalent to seven, nine, and ten calendar days, depending on page, date, and governing context.
Therefore:
- do not rely on a generic internet answer;
- follow the deadline in the current shipment notification;
- check the official tracking record;
- contact the point or GLS Spain if the displayed dates conflict;
- collect early where possible.
The tracking page should expose this uncertainty rather than invent one rule.
What happens if it is not collected?
The parcel can be returned or routed according to the shipment, booked service, local point, and sender instructions. Non-collection does not itself confirm that a refund was issued.
Parcel locker collection
A GLS parcel locker is an automated collection location. It is not the same as a staffed Parcel Shop.
Locker workflow
For an eligible shipment:
- the recipient selects or is assigned an available locker;
- the parcel is transported to that locker;
- the system records deposit;
- a personal opening code is sent by email or SMS or appears in My GLS;
- the recipient enters the code at the locker;
- the system records collection.
Do not travel before the deposit notification.
Opening code
The locker code is a protected collection credential. It is not:
- a tracking number;
- a postcode;
- an order number;
- a code to share with a third-party tracker;
- proof that the parcel is already inside the locker before the deposit event.
11Tracking should never request or store it.
Locker holding period
Current official locker guidance describes a seven-calendar-day collection period. The exact deadline in the shipment notification should control because locker operations and local availability can change.
If the locker will not open
Use the official support channel shown in the notification or at the locker. Record:
- the locker location;
- time;
- displayed error;
- shipment reference;
- whether a deposit notification was received.
Do not publish the opening code.
Collection from a GLS agency or delegation
A local GLS agency or delegation can hold a parcel after an attempt or as a shipment-specific delivery option.
Agency collection is different from Parcel Shop or locker collection.
Before travelling, confirm:
- the exact agency or delegation;
- that the parcel is physically there;
- that it is released for collection;
- opening hours;
- identity requirements;
- whether another person may collect it;
- the deadline.
A scan that says the parcel reached a local agency does not necessarily mean the counter has prepared it for recipient pickup.
Central support and local agency roles
Use GLS Spain Customer Service for:
- interpreting the public event;
- locating the responsible operation;
- reporting a delivery problem;
- confirming the current official action.
Use the local agency or delegation for a physical collection or local operational question when GLS identifies it as responsible.
Use the sender for:
- another-postcode address change;
- shipment cancellation;
- customs or invoice information;
- proof requests where the account holder controls access;
- transport claims;
- refund or replacement.
My GLS and private delivery management
My GLS can provide registered users with private shipment and delivery-management functions such as:
- automated shipment discovery linked to a mobile number;
- push notifications;
- approximate delivery windows;
- delivery and pickup preferences;
- shipment history;
- eligible return options.
These features belong to the official private environment. A public tracking page cannot reproduce account history or infer all shipments attached to a phone number.
Do not enter a phone number, identity document, private delivery preference, or return credential into 11Tracking.
GLS Spain also advertises operational support through official messaging channels, including WhatsApp in applicable current guidance. Use only the current official link and do not assume an instant human response.
Delivery proof and IdentPIN
GLS Spain can record delivery through more than one method.
Current published terms describe possible evidence including:
- physical signature;
- electronic signature;
- tax-identification notation;
- recipient-facing applications;
- a code supplied by GLS Spain.
The method depends on the booked service and delivery workflow.
IdentPINService
IdentPINService is an optional sender-booked service for an eligible shipment. The authorised recipient receives an individual PIN, and the driver uses it to validate delivery.
This does not mean:
- every GLS Spain parcel requires a PIN;
- the tracking number is the PIN;
- 11Tracking should collect the PIN;
- PIN use proves the condition or contents of the parcel;
- a buyer can activate the service after dispatch.
Can a recipient download proof of delivery?
Not always. Current terms describe proof documents within the contracting-customer relationship. The sender or account holder may have stronger access than the recipient.
A useful evidence hierarchy is:
Entregado
< detailed delivery place, person, or method
< account-holder proof document
< merchant investigation plus corroborating evidence
The basic status is useful, but it is not the strongest possible evidence.
GLS Spain says delivered, but the parcel is missing
Treat Entregado as a recorded outcome that needs verification, not automatic proof of theft or personal receipt.
Check first
Review:
- exact delivery time;
- recorded GLS Point or Parcel Shop;
- locker notification;
- local agency or delegation;
- reception, concierge, security, or goods desk;
- another household member;
- authorised alternative address;
- seller-provided postcode and address;
- any available person, code, or signature detail.
Contact routing
- Check the official GLS Spain tracking record with the number and destination postcode.
- Contact GLS Spain through a current official channel for operational detail.
- Contact the seller and ask it to confirm the shipping address and request proof.
- Save screenshots, notifications, messages, and order records.
- Use the seller, marketplace, or payment dispute route when the parcel cannot be located.
The seller controls refund and replacement decisions. The contractual sender can also be the actor able to request formal proof or open a transport claim.
What Entregado does not prove
It does not automatically prove:
- delivery to the named buyer;
- correct street address;
- a handwritten recipient signature;
- absence of misdelivery;
- package contents;
- undamaged condition;
- continued security after placement.
Damage, missing contents, or the wrong parcel
Visible external damage
GLS Spain's recipient guidance says a visibly damaged parcel can be refused. The parcel can then be returned and the sender informed.
Before refusing, where safe:
- photograph the outer damage;
- record the label;
- note torn seals, wet packaging, crushing, or openings;
- keep the delivery notification.
Do not open a parcel that appears hazardous.
Damage discovered after opening
Preserve:
- outer and inner packaging;
- labels and seals;
- all contents;
- photographs;
- order documentation;
- delivery record;
- weight information where available.
Contact the merchant promptly. GLS does not know whether the merchant packed the wrong item and does not normally inspect contents during transit.
Wrong item or missing contents
A correct GLS package containing the wrong product is usually a merchant fulfilment issue. Missing contents can result from packing error, damage, loss, or tampering; tracking alone cannot decide which.
The seller should compare the order, packing record, parcel weight, and carrier evidence.
Claim deadlines
Current GLS Spain terms publish contractual deadlines and reservation rules, but their application can depend on the route, product, claimant, and coverage.
Use the current official terms and obtain legal advice where necessary. Do not treat a generic tracking page as a legal deadline calculator.
Who can file a claim?
Several actors can report a problem, but they do not all own the same remedy.
| Actor | Usually can do | Usually cannot do alone |
|---|---|---|
| Recipient | Report non-receipt, damage, failed delivery, or point problem; preserve evidence | Change another postcode, access every proof document, or receive contractual compensation automatically |
| Sender or merchant | Confirm address, authorise changes, provide customs data, request proof, file a transport claim, issue refund or replacement | Force customs release or guarantee recovery |
| GLS Spain Customer Service | Explain operational status, identify the responsible branch, receive a report | Decide the merchant refund or alter contract rights |
| Local agency/delegation | Handle a parcel physically, arrange applicable local collection, investigate local route events | Approve a merchant refund or every national claim |
| Customs authority | Request data, assess duties, hold or release a parcel | Resolve the commercial order dispute |
| 11Tracking | Display supported public tracking events | Contact GLS, change delivery, retrieve private proof, file claims, pay duties, or issue refunds |
Recipient inquiry versus contractual claim
A recipient can contact GLS Spain with the tracking number and report what happened. Formal transport liability and compensation commonly belong to the GLS customer or account holder, usually the sender.
This distinction matters when customer service tells the recipient to contact the shop. That route is not necessarily refusal to investigate; the shop may be the party with contractual authority.
Refund and compensation are different
A carrier compensation payment and a buyer refund are separate:
- GLS compensation follows transport contract rules;
- the seller decides refund or replacement under the sales relationship;
- a marketplace can apply its own protection process;
- a payment provider can operate a separate dispute process.
A tracking page cannot promise any of them.
Cash on delivery
Some GLS Spain shipments can use CashService. The recipient may be required to pay the recorded amount at delivery and receive a receipt.
Because current official materials can differ on product ceilings and conditions:
- confirm the exact amount with the merchant;
- verify the shipment through official GLS tracking;
- ask for the applicable payment method;
- obtain a receipt;
- do not pay an unexpected link or unrelated telephone service.
A valid tracking number does not prove that an unexpected payment message is genuine.
Customs and Spain-specific territories
Customs can be relevant even when a route involves a destination associated with Spain.
Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla
These routes can require customs or fiscal formalities between the territory and the Spanish peninsula or other destinations.
A hold can require:
- commercial invoice;
- content description;
- value;
- sender tax or export information;
- recipient identity or import data;
- duties or taxes;
- authority release.
Who controls the customs stage?
- Sender or GLS account holder: shipment description, invoice, value, export details.
- Recipient or importer: requested identification, tax, fee, or import information.
- GLS Spain: logistics and document transmission within its service.
- Customs authority: assessment, hold, inspection, and release.
GLS cannot guarantee clearance, and 11Tracking cannot submit documents, calculate binding duties, or verify a payment request.
Customs status not updating
A quiet customs event does not prove that nothing is happening. Contact the sender first when documents may be missing, and use official GLS Spain channels for operational routing.
Returns and cancellation
Cancel an order
Contact the seller. GLS Spain is transporting the parcel and generally cannot cancel the sales order for the recipient.
When the seller confirms cancellation but the driver still arrives, the recipient may be instructed to refuse delivery. Follow the merchant's current instructions.
Return merchandise
A return normally requires:
- merchant approval;
- a return label or code supplied through the merchant workflow;
- an eligible GLS return service;
- a permitted drop-off point or collection.
Some eligible returns can be deposited at a GLS Parcel Shop, and some merchant workflows may avoid printing. This does not create a universal right to return any parcel through GLS.
What tracking cannot do
A tracking page cannot:
- generate a return label;
- authorise the return;
- choose the refund amount;
- confirm merchant receipt;
- issue money;
- cancel the original order.
Track the return identifier separately when the merchant supplies one.
Security and fake GLS Spain messages
Use official GLS Spain domains and current support links. Treat unexpected messages as unverified until independently checked.
Numbers beginning with 807
GLS Spain explicitly warns that telephone numbers beginning with 807 are not its contact numbers. Do not call a premium-rate number because a message claims it is needed to release a parcel.
Phishing and smishing signs
Be cautious when a message:
- uses an unexpected shortened link;
- asks for full address, identity number, card details, or login credentials;
- demands a small redelivery payment;
- threatens immediate return without matching official tracking;
- requests a locker code or IdentPIN;
- contains a premium-rate telephone number;
- uses a tracking number but an unrelated domain.
A real parcel can be used as bait. A valid tracking event does not authenticate the message.
Verify safely
- Open the official GLS Spain site manually.
- Enter the shipment number and destination postcode there.
- Compare the event and requested action.
- Confirm any payment with the sender and official GLS channel.
- Forward suspicious messages through the current official security route.
- Do not share pickup or delivery credentials.
Who to contact about a GLS Spain parcel
| Situation | First responsible party | Why |
|---|---|---|
Etiqueta creada for too long | Sender or merchant | Physical handover is not confirmed |
| Wrong tracking number or postcode | Sender, then GLS Spain | The merchant supplied the shipment data |
En tránsito with a normal linehaul gap | Monitor; contact GLS after the route-specific period | Event-based tracking can be quiet |
| Same-postcode delivery instruction | Official GLS Spain tracking or My GLS, if offered | The option is shipment-specific |
| Different-postcode address change | Sender or merchant | Authorisation is generally required |
| Failed attempt | Official tracking and local GLS operation | The next branch depends on product and event |
| Parcel Shop not ready | Wait for deposit/readiness; contact GLS if overdue | Selection is not physical arrival |
| Locker code missing | Official GLS Spain or My GLS support | The code is private and issued after eligibility/deposit |
| Agency collection | Confirm with GLS or the named agency | Arrival at an agency is not always pickup readiness |
| Delivered but missing | GLS Spain and sender | Operational detail and commercial remedy are separate |
| Visible damage | Refuse where appropriate, document, contact sender | The seller/account holder owns the commercial and claim route |
| Missing or wrong contents | Seller or merchant | Tracking cannot establish packing accuracy |
| Customs hold | Sender plus official GLS/customs channel | Documents and authority release may be required |
| Refund, replacement, or return | Seller or marketplace | These are commercial decisions |
| Formal transport compensation | Sender/account holder | Contractual standing usually controls |
Using 11Tracking and USTracking
11Tracking can display supported public events for one supported GLS Spain shipment at a time. For this national operator, the tracking request can require both the shipment number and destination postcode.
USTracking can help organise supported tracking records and observe later public updates. It cannot:
- identify a parcel from a merchant order number;
- create a scan;
- provide continuous driver GPS;
- choose a delivery option;
- contact the local agency or driver;
- retrieve a locker code, IdentPIN, signature, or private proof;
- file a claim;
- submit customs documents;
- approve a return, refund, or replacement;
- guarantee delivery.
For private actions, use the official GLS Spain environment and the sender.

Frequently asked questions
Does GLS Spain require a postcode for tracking?
Yes. The official Spanish tracking workflow requests the shipment number and destination postcode. The postcode is separate from the number and should be treated as a private verification field.
Which postcode should I use?
Use the destination postcode attached to the shipment. Do not use the sender's postcode or a new postcode you would like to redirect the parcel to.
What does Etiqueta creada mean?
It means the shipment was preregistered electronically. It does not prove that GLS Spain physically collected the parcel.
Which status proves GLS has the parcel?
Envío recogido por GLS is the first published Spain-specific status that records physical receipt by GLS.
Does En tránsito mean the parcel is coming directly to my city?
No. It can move through hubs, depots, delegations, agencies, or another GLS country operation. The displayed city is a scan location, not necessarily an address error.
Does En reparto guarantee delivery today?
No. It means the parcel entered the active delivery route. Access, absence, route capacity, address issues, or another exception can prevent completion.
Can I see the GLS Spain driver on a map?
An eligible shipment may show additional route visibility when fewer than ten stops remain. This is not guaranteed for every parcel and should not be described as unrestricted continuous GPS.
Will GLS Spain try delivery twice?
Not always. EconomyParcel and some mass-shipment workflows can have one attempt, while other services may allow a second. Follow the exact next event.
Can I change the address?
An eligible instruction within the same postcode may be offered. A change to another postcode generally requires sender authorisation.
Why did my parcel go to a Parcel Shop?
It may follow a selected redirection, a product-specific failed-attempt route, or another shipment instruction. Wait for a readiness or deposit event before travelling.
How long does a GLS Spain Parcel Shop hold a parcel?
Official sources currently conflict, with seven-, nine-, and ten-day statements in different contexts. Follow the exact deadline in your notification and tracking record.
How long does a locker hold a parcel?
Current official locker guidance describes seven calendar days. The exact shipment notification should control.
Can I use the locker code as a tracking number?
No. It is a private opening credential and should be used only at the assigned locker or official My GLS workflow.
Can another person collect my parcel?
A staffed point or agency may allow authorised collection with identification and authorisation. Follow the exact current point instructions. A locker code should not be shared casually.
Why is a Canary Islands shipment in customs?
Canary Islands routes can require customs or fiscal formalities in relation to the peninsula or another territory. Spain-related geography does not make every movement customs-free.
Does Entregado mean I signed for the parcel?
Not necessarily. GLS Spain can use different delivery evidence, including physical or electronic signature, an application, identification notation, a code, or another authorised delivery method.
Does every GLS Spain parcel use IdentPIN?
No. IdentPINService is optional and must be booked for an eligible shipment.
Can I obtain proof of delivery?
The sender or GLS account holder may have stronger access to a formal proof document. A recipient can request operational information, but universal public proof download is not confirmed.
Who handles a GLS Spain package marked delivered but missing?
Contact GLS Spain for delivery detail and the seller for proof, refund, replacement, or a formal account-holder claim.
Can GLS Spain refund my purchase?
GLS can address transport liability under its contract, but the merchant or marketplace decides the buyer's refund or replacement.
Can 11Tracking redirect a GLS Spain parcel?
No. 11Tracking displays supported public tracking events. It cannot change delivery, choose a point, contact the driver, access My GLS, or file a claim.

Sources, scope, and review
This page was researched from current official GLS Spain corporate, tracking, FAQ, recipient, redirection, My GLS, Parcel Shop, locker, returns, IdentPIN, product, customs, reporting, security, and contractual materials accessed on July 28, 2026.
It covers GLS Spain as the relevant Spanish parcel operator and public tracking surface. It does not define every business product, account contract, customs tariff, delivery deadline, point rule, locker model, agency process, compensation amount, claim limitation, or route across the wider GLS Group.
Service behavior can vary by product, sender contract, postcode, agency, point capacity, route, territory, customs requirements, parcel dimensions, delivery instruction, and current network conditions. Official pages currently contain conflicting Parcel Shop holding periods; the shipment-specific notification and current official tracking record should control.
The page does not diagnose a live parcel, collect a complete address, store a pickup code, access My GLS, retrieve proof, contact an agency or driver, submit customs documents, file a claim, or decide legal responsibility.
