Track a Poste Italiane shipment on this page
Enter the shipment code exactly as provided by the sender, merchant, marketplace, receipt, label, or official Poste notification.
Preserve:
- every letter;
- every digit;
- leading zeros;
- the complete country suffix when present;
- the original character order.
Poste Italiane’s official instructions say to enter the shipment code without spaces or hyphens where the interface requests that format.
Do not substitute:
- a merchant order number;
- a home-pickup booking code;
- a waybill archive reference unless the form explicitly supports it;
- a Locker PIN, QR code, or collection barcode;
- a complaint identifier;
- a PostePlus account reference;
- a customs or tax reference;
- a phone number, email, Codice Fiscale, name, or address.
The official App Poste Italiane can scan some barcodes. That does not mean the 11Tracking web form can scan a barcode or accept every code handled by the official Poste ecosystem.
The public promise on this page is intentionally narrow:
Enter one supported Poste Italiane-associated shipment tracking code.
Which Poste Italiane service or workflow are you tracking?
Poste Italiane is one brand with several product, channel, and operational layers.
| Context | What it represents | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Poste Delivery Standard | A current domestic retail parcel service | Its service objective, attempts, proof, and holding rules are product-specific |
| Poste Delivery Express | A current domestic express parcel service | Express does not mean live GPS or unconditional delivery at a selected hour |
| Poste Delivery Web | An online booking and management channel that can create standard, express, and international shipments | The channel name is not one universal physical product |
| Business parcel services | Contract services including Business Standard, Business Express, Crono, and related sender-enabled options | Business terms must not be applied automatically to retail parcels |
| Tracked mail | Raccomandata, Assicurata, and other eligible mail products | Mail events and legal-delivery workflows can differ from parcel events |
| Punto Poste | A network of pickup, shipping, and return points | A listed point is not proof that every service is available there or that a parcel is ready |
| Public Locker | An out-of-home delivery or drop-off channel | Routing toward the Locker is not readiness |
| Punto Poste Da Te | A dedicated Locker service for participating sites | Some personal or other-carrier items placed there are not tracked by Poste |
| PostePlus | An account-linked parcel-identification and delivery-preference service | It does not identify or modify every parcel |
| Scegli Tu | A sender-enabled delivery-personalisation function for eligible business products | It is not universally available and does not guarantee the requested change |
| International postal flow | Poste, foreign operators, transport, customs, and destination delivery | No single operator controls every stage |
| SDA / legacy SDA reference | A current Poste Italiane Group company and older courier infrastructure | SDA and Poste can still be separate operational or provider entities |
Poste Italiane, Poste Delivery, and SDA are not interchangeable labels
Poste Italiane is the operator and group brand.
Poste Delivery is a product family.
SDA Express Courier is a Poste Italiane Group company. Customer and commercial functions for many express-courier services were integrated into Poste Italiane, but SDA remains an active entity and has specialist operations.
Use this boundary:
SDA belongs to Poste Italiane Group
≠ every SDA shipment is a retail Poste Delivery parcel
old SDA reference
≠ automatically accepted by this Poste Italiane form
Poste Italiane result
≠ complete SDA specialist-logistics guidance
The current 11Tracking provider mapping must determine whether Poste Italiane and SDA numbers are handled together or separately.
Important 2026 Poste Italiane product change
From 1 May 2026, Poste Italiane changed the Universal Postal Service product perimeter.
The official notice says that several Posta1-family services were removed or discontinued, including Posta1, Posta1Pro, Posta1Pro Risposta Pagata, and national and international Posta1online. Postapriority Internazionale also left the Universal Service and then resumed outside it from June 2026 through Post Offices under the updated channel model.
The same change updated service standards for named Universal Service products, including Poste Delivery Standard.
This creates three practical rules:
- an older receipt or article can show a product name that is no longer sold;
- an older competitor page can list a discontinued product as current;
- a product transition does not erase an existing historical tracking record.
Do not infer that every old Posta1 code is still customer-trackable or that a discontinued service follows current parcel rules.
Why a recognised code does not prove Poste Italiane accepted the item
A shipment code, waybill, booking record, or sender-generated label can exist before a later carrier acceptance event becomes public.
Use the evidence sequence:
code or waybill created
→ electronic shipment record exists
Presa in carico in the relevant parcel product
→ Poste recorded acceptance
later facility, transit, route, pickup, or delivery event
→ Poste recorded the stated later stage
Therefore:
identifier recognised
≠ physical acceptance
merchant says shipped
≠ Poste-recorded acceptance
Locker drop-off record
≠ carrier collection from the Locker
no public acceptance event
≠ proof the sender still has the parcel
The last line is important. A missing acceptance event can reflect delayed publication, an incorrect number, an unsupported product, a drop-off dispute, a Locker not yet collected, or no physical handoff. The public record alone does not prove which explanation is correct.
Ask the sender for the acceptance or drop-off receipt. A later Presa in carico, processing, hub, or transit event would change the conclusion.
Use What Does “Label Created” Mean? and Carrier Received Package for the full cross-carrier distinction.
What a Poste Italiane tracking result confirms
Read the latest exact Italian event, timestamp, location, product, and delivery channel together.
| Evidence level | What it can confirm | What it does not establish by itself |
|---|---|---|
| Code recognised | A public shipment record can be associated with the input | Physical acceptance, product, movement, or current operator |
| Electronic booking or waybill | Shipment data was created | Poste possession |
Presa in carico in the scoped parcel legend | Poste recorded acceptance | Departure, contents, or delivery date |
In transito in the scoped parcel legend | Poste recorded the stated transport or hub stage | Continuous movement or exact current position |
In consegna in parcel context | Poste recorded the local delivery stage | Guaranteed same-day delivery |
Mancata consegna | Poste recorded a failed delivery outcome | One universal reason or one universal number of remaining attempts |
Disponibile in UP | The item is ready at the named Post Office | Customer collection |
Disponibile in PP | The item is ready through Punto Poste | Customer collection or one universal holding period |
| Exact Punto Poste Da Te readiness | The item is inside the Locker and ready | Named-person collection |
Consegnato | Poste recorded a completed outcome | Personal receipt by the named addressee |
| Signature, AR, PIN, or digital receipt | A stronger proof layer may exist | Every disputed fact, contents, condition, or authorisation |
| Customs or payment event | The stated customs or customer-action stage was recorded | Release, Poste movement, or delivery |
| Complaint submitted | A case entered the stated official process | Fault, compensation, or merchant refund |
Tracking is a published event history, not continuous GPS.
The timeline can contain separate moments:
physical event
→ Poste recording
→ Poste publication
→ provider ingestion
→ 11Tracking display
An event that appeared now did not necessarily happen now.
How to read common Poste Italiane status families safely
Poste Italiane does not publish one complete universal glossary covering every parcel, business, mail, SDA, international, customs, return, and digital-delivery phrase. Preserve the exact Italian wording and keep the product context attached.
Presa in carico
In the Poste Delivery Web parcel legend, Presa in carico means that the shipment was accepted.
Safe conclusion:
Poste recorded acceptance in the relevant parcel workflow.
It does not prove:
- that the parcel already left the acceptance location;
- that its contents were verified;
- that the estimated date is guaranteed;
- that the same wording has identical legal or operational meaning in every Poste product.
In transito
In the scoped Poste Delivery Web legend, the parcel is moving toward or through the delivery hub stage.
It is not:
- live GPS;
- proof that the next facility accepted the parcel;
- proof that the vehicle is moving now;
- proof that the parcel is lost when no later event appears.
Read the locations and timestamps shown. Use Tracking Not Updating if no later event appears.
In consegna
For a parcel in the Poste Delivery Web legend, In consegna means the item is about to be delivered to the recipient.
It does not guarantee:
- delivery that day;
- a specific hour;
- live courier position;
- no later failed attempt;
- personal handover.
Use Out for Delivery or Out for Delivery but Not Delivered for the broader next-step guide.
Why In consegna does not have one universal meaning
Poste Italiane’s official Ritiro Digitale FAQ uses In consegna in a wider registered-mail workflow. There, the words can describe either:
- physical delivery toward the recipient; or
- the return-to-sender phase after an unsuccessful attempt.
Therefore:
In consegna
+ parcel context
= delivery-stage evidence
In consegna
+ registered-mail return context
= potentially return-to-sender workflow
Do not quote “In consegna means out for delivery” without the product qualifier.
Mancata consegna
Poste recorded that the delivery did not complete.
The exact reason can involve:
- recipient absence;
- address or access;
- refusal;
- product restrictions;
- route or operational issues;
- another exception.
Do not translate every Mancata consegna into “recipient absent.”
Check the next event to determine whether another attempt, pickup, correction, sender action, or return follows.
Disponibile in UP
UP means Ufficio Postale.
The event confirms that the item is ready for collection at the named Post Office. It is stronger than a notice, a transfer toward the office, or a request to redirect.
It does not prove that the customer collected the item.
Disponibile in PP
PP means Punto Poste in the scoped Poste Delivery Web legend.
The event confirms pickup readiness through the stated Punto Poste channel. Poste can send the point address and collection PIN.
It does not prove:
- that the parcel is available at every nearby Punto Poste;
- that the PIN can be shared safely;
- that one universal holding period applies;
- that the named addressee personally collects it.
Exact status: Disponibile per il ritiro presso Punto Poste Da Te
For this exact event, Poste Italiane states that the item has been placed inside the Punto Poste Da Te Locker and is ready for collection.
After collection, tracking displays consegnato in the described flow.
Keep the exact qualifier:
routed toward Locker
≠ inside Locker
inside Locker and exact readiness event
→ ready for collection
ready
≠ collected
Consegnato
Poste recorded a completed delivery or collection outcome.
It does not automatically prove:
- that the named addressee personally signed;
- that the item was delivered at the correct physical place;
- that the parcel remained secure;
- that the contents were present and undamaged;
- that a neighbour, doorman, safe place, Post Office, Punto Poste, or Locker was not involved.
Use the available proof, signature, AR, pickup credential, receiver data, or official complaint route when the completion is disputed.
Other Italian events
Do not use a large third-party decoder as though it were an official Poste-wide dictionary.
Events such as:
In lavorazione;Partita;Arrivata al centro operativo;In restituzione al mittente;- address exceptions;
- customs substates;
- legacy SDA phrases
must be read in the exact product and operational context.
Use this method:
- preserve the exact Italian wording;
- identify the product or workflow;
- state what the event confirms;
- state what it does not confirm;
- identify the next event or official action that changes the conclusion.
Delivery estimates are product-specific
Poste Italiane publishes different indicative service objectives for different products.
Examples in current official materials include:
- Poste Delivery Standard: an indicative five-day objective on the public retail page;
- Poste Delivery Express: an indicative 1–4 working days;
- Poste Delivery Web: current materials use product- and starting-event-specific objectives;
- Poste Delivery Europe: approximately three working days, subject to route scope;
- International Express: different EU and non-EU objectives;
- International Standard: wider destination ranges that exclude customs time.
Do not combine these into one universal Poste delivery estimate.
The starting point can also differ:
- booking;
- pickup;
- acceptance;
- next working day after a cutoff.
Use this boundary:
service objective
≠ unconditional guarantee
Express
≠ fixed delivery hour
estimated date
≠ current physical location
A later carrier event is stronger evidence than a calculated date.
Poste Italiane does not have one delivery-attempt rule
Many domestic Poste Delivery parcel services provide two attempts, but not every Poste product does.
| Product or workflow | Current official attempt model | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Poste Delivery Express | 2 | Current non-universal parcel scope |
| Poste Delivery Web / Web Express | 2 | Channel-specific holding rules can follow |
| Poste Delivery Business Standard | 2 | Current business-product scope |
| Crono Express | 2 | Business/ecommerce product, not every retail parcel |
| Poste Delivery Europe | 1 | Destination and local-operator rules apply |
| Poste Delivery International Express | 2 | Foreign holding and proof can differ |
| Registered and insured mail | Different rules | Do not use the parcel table |
The safe answer is:
Many domestic Poste Delivery parcel products include two attempts. International, tracked-mail, and specialist services can differ.
A failed attempt can lead to:
- another attempt;
- Ufficio Postale;
- operational centre;
- Punto Poste;
- Locker;
- address or access exception;
- sender action;
- return.
Wait for the next exact event.
PostePlus and Scegli Tu are different delivery-management systems
Both services can change how an eligible shipment is delivered, but they do not have the same identity, trigger, or scope.
| Feature | PostePlus | Scegli Tu |
|---|---|---|
| User model | Registered account and parcel identification | Sender-enabled shipment option |
| Main scope | Eligible ecommerce parcels identified through matching contact data | Eligible Business Standard and Express shipments |
| How it appears | PostePlus profile and identified parcel | Link sent by email or SMS |
| Timing | Depends on parcel identification and current stage | Before the first attempt at specified Partita and In consegna stages |
| Possible options | Preferred address, delivery days, one-time change, neighbour, safe place, pickup, holiday hold | Date, address, UP, Punto Poste, Locker, neighbour, doorman, safe place, holiday hold |
| Main limitation | Not every parcel is identified or enabled | Sender can activate only some options |
PostePlus eligibility
PostePlus can depend on:
- a poste.it account;
- Italian residence;
- an active PostePlus profile;
- matching email or phone data used in the purchase;
- sender enablement.
A parcel missing from PostePlus does not prove a tracking failure. It can belong to another carrier, use unmatched contact data, or be outside the service scope.
PostePlus preferences are conditional
PostePlus can store a preferred address and selected weekdays for eligible parcels. It can also provide a one-time personalisation for a single shipment.
Current official guidance includes:
- a standard reschedule within the current five-working-day window;
- a holiday-hold option within the current 15-working-day window.
These limits are volatile. Check the current official option shown for the parcel.
Scegli Tu is sender-enabled
Scegli Tu is not a universal recipient right.
The sender must enable the service, and the link can expose only selected options. The function is available in specified pre-attempt states.
Request state model
For either system:
option visible
≠ request submitted
request submitted
≠ request accepted
request accepted
≠ route changed
route changed
≠ ready for pickup or delivered
Only a later official event proves the operational outcome.
Use Change, Reroute, or Hold a Package for the complete cross-carrier action model.
Ufficio Postale, Punto Poste, and Locker are different pickup channels
A parcel moving toward a collection location is not ready.
Ufficio Postale state model
failed attempt or selected delivery branch
→ transfer toward Post Office
→ Disponibile in UP
→ identity or delegation check
→ collected
Punto Poste state model
Punto Poste selected or redirect accepted
→ parcel processed toward point
→ Disponibile in PP / official ready notification
→ PIN and location check
→ collected
Public Locker state model
Locker selected
→ parcel routed
→ parcel placed in Locker
→ official ready notification and PIN/QR
→ customer opens the cell
→ collected
Punto Poste Da Te state model
shipment routed to dedicated Locker
→ exact readiness event
→ QR or collection code
→ cell opened
→ collected
→ Consegnato
A marketplace can update before or after the official Poste event. Use the official Poste readiness event and credential before travelling.
Holding periods differ
Current official sources use different product- and channel-specific periods.
For the scoped Poste Delivery Web model, current charter information includes:
- 10 working days at a Post Office or operational centre;
- 7 working days at a collect point or Punto Poste Da Te;
- 3 working days, excluding Saturday, at a public Punto Poste Locker.
The Scegli Tu redirected-pickup workflow has its own current seven-day period.
Do not publish one universal sentence such as “Poste holds every parcel for seven days.”
Use this rule:
Follow the deadline in the official ready notification and the current terms for that product and channel.
A listed point is not a readiness event
A location can appear on a map but be unavailable for the particular service, temporarily inactive, or not assigned to the parcel.
Do not travel to a different nearby point unless the official parcel record names it.
Delivered, signature, AR, PIN, and digital receipt are different proof layers
Poste Delivery Standard and Express public pages advertise signature at delivery. Other products can use Avviso di Ricevimento, authenticated digital collection, or credential-based pickup.
These proof layers are not interchangeable.
| Evidence layer | What it can add | What it does not automatically prove |
|---|---|---|
Consegnato | Carrier-recorded completion | Named-addressee receipt, correct place, intact contents |
| Receiver data | Recorded identity or role text | Independent identity verification |
| Signature | A signature event in an eligible product | That the named addressee signed unless the service requires it |
| Avviso di Ricevimento | Separate receipt evidence when purchased | Universal inclusion |
| Digital registered-mail receipt | Authenticated evidence in the eligible Ritiro Digitale workflow | Anonymous public access |
| Pickup PIN or QR event | Credential-based collection evidence | Named-person collection in every case |
| Office or written confirmation | Additional carrier record | Automatic acceptance by a marketplace or payment platform |
PostePlus and Scegli Tu can also support:
- neighbour;
- doorman;
- safe place;
- Post Office;
- Punto Poste;
- Locker.
Therefore:
Consegnato
≠ named addressee necessarily signed
third-party receipt
≠ automatically unauthorised
signature or AR
≠ contents and condition proved
11Tracking does not retrieve private signatures, AR documents, identity data, PINs, QR codes, or authenticated Poste records.
Use Proof of Delivery, Photo, and Signature for the full proof hierarchy.
International Poste Italiane tracking involves several actors
An international shipment can involve:
sender or merchant
→ origin postal operator or courier
→ international transport
→ customs authority
→ Poste Italiane
→ destination postal operator or courier
→ local delivery or pickup
Inbound visibility can begin after Italian acceptance
Poste Italiane’s official FAQ distinguishes parcels and correspondence.
For an inbound parcel, Poste monitoring can begin when Poste takes charge of the item in Italy. Origin-country correspondence visibility depends on the foreign operator and product.
Therefore:
merchant says arrived in Italy
≠ Poste acceptance in Italy
foreign departure
≠ Italian customs release
Poste acceptance
≠ delivery readiness
The code suffix does not show current location
A postal identifier can retain an origin-country suffix.
Therefore:
code ending in IT
≠ item currently in Italy
code not ending in IT
≠ Poste cannot handle it
postal-format code
≠ complete end-to-end public tracking
Destination-operator evidence can be narrower than customer delivery
For some current International Express destination scopes, Poste’s service charter explains that a delivery-confirmation milestone can refer to arrival at the destination postal administration responsible for the final delivery.
That means:
international delivery confirmation in the specified product/destination
≠ final customer handover necessarily recorded by Poste
Use the foreign destination operator’s public record where available.
Use How International Package Tracking Works and Find the Last-Mile Carrier for the wider handoff model.
Customs, import fees, and payment are separate states
Poste Italiane can:
- present and transport postal items;
- collect documents;
- support customs communication;
- collect duties, VAT, postal rights, or other amounts where the official process requires;
- display or provide eligible payment actions.
The customs authority controls customs assessment and release.
| Actor | Main role | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Poste Italiane | Postal transport, presentation, customs support, fee collection where applicable | That Poste decides every customs outcome |
| Customs authority | Assessment, document review, release, or refusal | That customs performs final delivery |
| Foreign operator | Origin or destination postal stage | That it controls Poste’s Italian stage |
| Sender or merchant | Declaration, invoice, sale, and product information | That it can create a Poste event |
| Recipient | Documents and payment where required | That payment forces immediate movement |
| 11Tracking / USTracking | Displays supported public events and explanatory links | That it can pay, upload, release, or contact authorities |
Preserve the state separation:
amount shown
≠ payment completed
payment completed
≠ customs release
customs release
≠ Poste processing
Poste processing
≠ out for delivery
Poste describes several possible import-payment contexts, including payment at delivery, authenticated online action, and prepaid-duty arrangements. Availability and fees can change.
Safe action:
- open
poste.itor the official App Poste Italiane independently; - enter the code in the official tracker;
- use only an authenticated payment or document action shown there;
- check the customs authority when the decision belongs to customs;
- do not use an unverified payment link from a message.
Use Customs Processing, Package Stuck in Customs, or Customs Cleared but No Update for the wider decision tree.
Who should act on a Poste Italiane tracking problem?
| Situation | Best first actor | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Code exists but no acceptance event | Sender or merchant | They can verify physical handoff and provide the receipt |
| Code rejected or not found | Sender or merchant, then Poste if the code is genuine | It can be wrong, premature, unsupported, or another reference |
| Parcel stops after a Poste acceptance or facility event | Poste Italiane under the current product and complaint gate | Poste owns the published Italian carrier stage |
| Legacy SDA number or SDA-branded record | Sender or current SDA/Poste route after provider classification | Group relationship does not prove one tracker |
In consegna on a parcel | Check the next event, then Poste if needed | It is a delivery-stage event, not a guarantee |
In consegna on registered mail | Read the detailed mail workflow | It can also relate to a return phase |
Mancata consegna | Check detailed reason and next event | Attempt branches differ by product |
| Moving toward UP, PP, or Locker | Wait for official readiness | Routing is not availability |
Disponibile in UP/PP or exact Locker readiness | Named collection location and instructions | Credentials and deadline apply |
Consegnato but missing | Delivery location, proof, sender/merchant, and Poste complaint route | Completion does not prove personal receipt |
| Inbound item has no Poste acceptance in Italy | Sender, origin operator, or merchant | Poste may not yet own the visible stage |
| Customs or payment action | Official Poste/customs workflow | The action is separate from tracking interpretation |
| Marketplace return or purchase dispute | Merchant or platform | Buyer remedy and carrier compensation are different |
| Suspicious Poste message | Open Poste independently | Correct parcel data does not authenticate the message |
11Tracking cannot contact Poste Italiane, SDA, a Post Office, Punto Poste, Locker operator, customs authority, merchant, sender, or delivery employee on your behalf.
Complaints, investigation, compensation, and merchant remedies are different processes
Poste Italiane provides official complaint channels. Current service charters distinguish the product, event, issue, evidence, and time window.
Do not use one universal instruction such as “file a claim after seven days.”
Who can submit a complaint?
Current official materials allow specified complaints from:
- the sender or contract customer;
- the recipient;
- an authorised person or consumer association.
The person allowed to complain is not automatically the person entitled to compensation.
Inbound foreign items
For an item posted abroad, Poste’s charter recommends that the sender contact the origin postal operator. The origin operator holds the initial acceptance data and can use the international inquiry relationship.
Product-specific windows
Current examples differ:
- Poste Delivery Express and Poste Delivery Web use different complaint starting points;
- delay, loss, and insured damage can have different deadlines;
- Europe and International Express have their own rules;
- universal mail products follow another charter.
Always use the current product terms.
Complaint state model
assistance request
≠ formal complaint
complaint submitted
≠ evidence complete
evidence complete
≠ fault established
fault established
≠ compensation amount established
carrier compensation
≠ merchant refund or replacement
Poste currently states an objective of resolving complaints within 45 calendar days after the required complaint documentation is received.
If the response is missing or unsatisfactory, the current process can include postal conciliation and, after the required steps, an AGCom dispute route. These are formal procedures with changing deadlines. Use the current official service charter instead of copied legal instructions.
Who receives compensation?
The current charters state that compensation generally belongs to the customer or sender and can require a formal assignment before payment to the recipient.
Therefore:
recipient can complain
≠ recipient automatically receives compensation
Use Package Claim Guide and Who to Contact About a Package for the full actor and evidence model.
Verify Poste Italiane delivery and payment messages safely
A fraudulent Poste-branded message can contain:
- a real tracking code;
- recipient name or address;
- a failed-delivery claim;
- a customs or redelivery fee;
- a lookalike login page;
- a QR code;
- urgency;
- a fake support number.
Correct shipment data does not authenticate the message.
Poste Italiane states that it does not request login credentials, security codes, or sensitive payment security data through SMS links or phone calls.
The safe answer is:
Legitimate customs, postal, or COD charges can exist. Do not authenticate a request from the message itself. Open poste.it or the official App Poste Italiane independently, enter the code through the official tracker, and use only an action shown in the authenticated official workflow.
Do not use the unsafe statements:
Poste never sends messages
every payment request is fake
a real tracking code proves the message is genuine
Use Fake Delivery Message for the complete scam process.
Protect Poste Italiane shipment and identity data
Treat the following as sensitive:
- complete tracking code;
- sender and recipient address;
- phone number and email;
- Codice Fiscale;
- poste.it credentials;
- PostePlus profile information;
- Locker PIN, QR code, or barcode;
- signature or AR;
- complaint identifier;
- customs declaration;
- invoice or value evidence;
- payment proof;
- booking receipt;
- judicial-document content.
Do not place these into:
- a public forum;
- an unredacted screenshot;
- a public URL;
- metadata;
- analytics events;
- structured-data examples;
- an unverified reply.
This page does not need those materials to explain the general status or next action.
Frequently asked questions
How do I track a Poste Italiane shipment?
Enter one supported Poste Italiane-associated shipment code in the form on this page. Preserve all letters, digits, leading zeros, and country suffixes. Use the official Poste site for barcode scanning, account, complaint, payment, and delivery-personalisation workflows.
Should I remove spaces or hyphens from the code?
Poste Italiane’s official guidance says to enter the shipment code without spaces or hyphens where required. Do not remove letters or leading zeros.
Can I track a Raccomandata or Assicurata?
Poste Italiane’s official environment supports eligible tracked-mail products. The 11Tracking form supports them only if the current provider accepts those identifiers. Parcel and registered-mail events can have different meanings.
Is SDA the same as Poste Italiane?
SDA is a Poste Italiane Group company, and many customer functions were integrated into Poste Italiane. It remains a separate entity and can still have different identifiers, operations, and provider mapping.
What does Presa in carico mean?
In the scoped Poste Delivery Web parcel legend, it means Poste recorded acceptance. It does not prove departure, verified contents, or guaranteed delivery.
What does In transito mean?
In the scoped parcel legend, Poste recorded the stated transport or hub stage. It is not live GPS and does not prove that the next facility already accepted the parcel.
What does In consegna mean?
For a Poste Delivery Web parcel, it means the shipment is in the delivery stage. It does not guarantee same-day delivery or a particular hour.
Can In consegna mean return to sender?
Yes, in a different product context. Poste’s Ritiro Digitale FAQ says the same words can describe the return phase of a registered item after an unsuccessful attempt. Read the product and detailed event together.
What does Mancata consegna mean?
Poste recorded a failed delivery outcome. The reason and next branch depend on the detailed event and product. It does not always mean the recipient was absent.
What does Disponibile in UP mean?
The shipment is ready at the named Ufficio Postale. This is pickup readiness, not proof of customer collection.
What does Disponibile in PP mean?
The shipment is ready through the named Punto Poste channel. Check the official notification for the location, PIN, and deadline.
When is a Punto Poste Da Te parcel ready?
Wait for the exact official event Disponibile per il ritiro presso Punto Poste Da Te. Poste says this means the item is inside the Locker and ready.
Why does a marketplace say ready while Poste does not?
The marketplace and carrier can publish at different times or use different events. Use the official Poste readiness event and collection credential before travelling.
How many delivery attempts does Poste Italiane make?
Many domestic Poste Delivery parcel products provide two attempts. Poste Delivery Europe, tracked mail, international products, and specialist services can differ.
Is the second attempt automatic?
It is automatic in some current domestic product rules, including specified Express and business flows. Do not assume it for every product. Read the next event.
How long will Poste hold my parcel?
It depends on the product and channel. Current scoped rules include 10 working days at some Post Offices, seven at some collect points or Punto Poste Da Te, and three at some public Lockers. Follow the official notification.
Can I change the delivery date?
Sometimes. PostePlus and Scegli Tu can expose a date option for an eligible shipment. Visibility, request, acceptance, and completion are separate states.
Can I change the address?
Eligible services can allow another address under current restrictions. For many parcels, a complete label-address correction still requires the sender or merchant.
Can I choose a neighbour, doorman, or safe place?
PostePlus and Scegli Tu can offer these choices for eligible sender-enabled parcels. A saved preference or submitted request does not prove the carrier completed it.
What is PostePlus?
PostePlus is an account-linked service that identifies eligible ecommerce parcels through matching contact data and sender participation. It can store preferences and allow one-time delivery personalisation.
What is Scegli Tu?
Scegli Tu is a sender-enabled delivery-personalisation function for eligible Business Standard and Express parcels. The sender can activate only selected options.
Is a PostePlus or Scegli Tu request guaranteed?
No. Option visibility, request submission, acceptance, route change, readiness, and final delivery are separate states.
Does Consegnato prove I personally received the parcel?
No. It proves Poste recorded completion. Depending on the service and instruction, a neighbour, doorman, safe place, Post Office, Punto Poste, or Locker can be involved.
Does Poste Italiane provide a signature?
Current Poste Delivery Standard and Express pages advertise signature at delivery. Availability and public access depend on the product. Signature does not prove contents or every disputed circumstance.
What is Avviso di Ricevimento?
Avviso di Ricevimento is a separate receipt service used for eligible mail or parcel products. It is not automatically included with every tracked shipment.
What should I do if Poste says Consegnato but I do not have the parcel?
Check the delivery address, household, neighbour, doorman, safe place, pickup location, and available proof. Preserve evidence privately. Contact the sender or merchant and use the event-eligible Poste complaint route.
When does tracking begin for a parcel arriving from abroad?
Poste’s official FAQ says inbound parcel monitoring can begin when Poste takes charge of the item in Italy. Earlier origin events belong to the foreign operator or merchant.
Does a code ending in IT mean the parcel is in Italy?
No. The suffix identifies the issuing postal context, not the current physical location.
Why did international tracking stop after export or handoff?
The next event may belong to customs or the destination operator. The destination country can also use different public tracking, attempt, holding, and proof rules.
Can I pay import fees online?
Poste describes eligible official online-payment workflows, but availability is dynamic. Use only an action shown in the official tracker or authenticated app.
Does paying customs mean the parcel is released?
No. Payment, customs release, Poste processing, and local delivery are separate states.
Who should file a Poste Italiane complaint?
It depends on the product and booking relationship. The sender, recipient, or authorised person can submit specified complaints, while the sender or contract customer may own compensation rights.
What are the Poste Italiane claim deadlines?
They are product- and issue-specific. Express, Web, Europe, International, insured damage, delay, and loss use different rules. Check the current official service charter.
Who receives Poste Italiane compensation?
The customer or sender usually holds the compensation right. Payment to the recipient can require a formal assignment under the current terms.
Does Poste Italiane tracking show live GPS?
No. It is a carrier-published event history. A status can be recorded and displayed after the physical event occurred.
How do I verify a Poste payment or redelivery message?
Do not use the message link. Open poste.it or the official app independently, enter the code, and use only an authenticated action shown there.
Can 11Tracking change, claim, pay for, or recover a Poste parcel?
No. 11Tracking can perform a supported public shipment-code lookup and explain evidence. It cannot access PostePlus, use Scegli Tu, open a Locker, retrieve private proof, pay customs, contact Poste or SDA, file a complaint, create scans, change the address, release customs, or recover a parcel.
Keep Poste Italiane updates together in USTracking
After identifying the product, exact event, evidence boundary, and correct responsible actor, USTracking can help you:
- save a supported Poste Italiane tracking code;
- organise available public events in one timeline;
- monitor later recorded changes;
- compare origin, Poste, and destination-operator events when available;
- keep purchases, parcels, and returns organised;
- receive notifications.
USTracking cannot:
- track by phone, email, address, Codice Fiscale, PostePlus account, complaint identifier, Locker PIN, or QR code;
- scan a physical barcode unless a supported app feature explicitly does so;
- access PostePlus;
- use Scegli Tu;
- change a delivery date or address;
- choose a neighbour, doorman, safe place, Post Office, Punto Poste, or Locker;
- open a Locker;
- retrieve signature, AR, digital receipt, receiver, identity, or payment data;
- authenticate a message, domain, caller, fee, or payment request;
- upload customs documents;
- pay customs, VAT, postal rights, or COD;
- contact Poste Italiane, SDA, a Post Office, Punto Poste, customs, merchant, or delivery employee;
- file a complaint, conciliation request, regulator case, claim, or refund;
- create or correct a scan;
- recover, release, clear, accelerate, or guarantee a parcel.
Use USTracking as a monitoring and interpretation companion, not as a substitute for Poste Italiane, SDA, the sender, merchant, foreign operator, customs authority, or collection location.
