Track the carrier record, not the marketplace order
Use the carrier tracking number shown on the shipment record, AWB, label, seller/marketplace shipping details, or an official SPX record. The official SPX Express Philippines site also provides a public tracking-number field.
Do not enter a recipient name, address, phone number, Shopee order number, Self Pick-Up PIN or QR code, return/claim reference, proof file, or payment information into a carrier tracking field unless an official workflow explicitly asks for that object.
A tracking identifier is useful evidence that a shipment-data object exists. It is not automatic proof that SPX physically has the parcel.
No universal SPX Philippines number pattern is confirmed
The reviewed current first-party material does not publish one universal SPX Philippines tracking-number prefix, length, suffix, or regular expression. Do not accept or reject a number solely because it matches a competitor-published pattern.
The SPX Philippines site also uses the label SPXTN in an EasyPack creation flow, but the reviewed primary sources do not define SPXTN safely enough to treat it as a universal carrier tracking input. Do not assume an SPXTN reference will work as a normal shipment tracking number unless the relevant official or supported carrier record explicitly identifies it that way.
Does SPX actually have the parcel?
SPX's direct shipping flows can create important records before physical handover. That makes the possession boundary central to interpreting an early shipment.
Delivery Order / AWB / tracking identifier exists
≠ physical handover to SPX
pickup booked
≠ pickup completed
drop-off point selected
≠ Service Point received the parcel
later attributable pickup / receipt / facility evidence
→ stronger evidence of physical SPX possession
For example, direct pickup and drop-off workflows require order and AWB preparation before the later physical pickup or branch handover. SPX EasyPack can also carry a printed tracking number before the pack is dropped at a Service Point.
The reviewed public sources do not publish one universal raw event label that can safely be called “SPX physically accepted the parcel” across every direct, Shopee, drop-off, pickup, and return workflow. Use the exact event and its context instead of inventing an acceptance scan.
The uncertainty works both ways: missing public acceptance evidence does not prove that a physical handover never happened. It means the public record does not yet establish that handover strongly enough.
If your shipment has only pre-handover data, compare the distinction with Label Created and Carrier Received Package. If a later SPX-attributed possession event is already visible but updates then stop, use Tracking Not Updating.
Who may physically handle an SPX parcel?
SPX Philippines publicly describes a network that can use agency partners at different stages:
- first mile: partner pickup from sellers toward SPX hubs or sorting centers;
- mid mile: bulk movement between SPX sorting centers and regional hubs;
- last mile: partner-provided riders moving parcels from SPX hubs toward recipients.
This creates two important evidence boundaries:
- an SPX-attributed tracking event does not prove that an SPX employee personally handled the parcel; and
- an SPX agency partner is not automatically a separately named downstream carrier that should appear as a new carrier in tracking.
Direct SPX Terms also reserve routing/diversion discretion, including intermediate stops. A route that appears indirect or passes through another facility therefore does not, by geography alone, prove that the parcel was misrouted.
Facility and route events are recorded logistics evidence, not a live map of the parcel's exact physical position.
Read only the states that change your next action
Do not treat every parent status as a complete explanation. The exact event, whether it comes from direct SPX or a Shopee workflow, and what happened before it determine the next useful check.
| Visible evidence | What it can confirm | What it does not confirm | Next useful check |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPX-attributed facility event | SPX network processing is more strongly evidenced than by an AWB alone | Exact live location, shelf position, or immediate departure | Look for dispatch, departure, or the next attributable facility event |
| Out for Delivery | A last-mile delivery stage is recorded | Same-day completion, an exact arrival time, or continuous rider GPS | Wait for Delivered or an unsuccessful/exception event; if it does not resolve, use the OFD problem guide |
| Unsuccessful Delivery / failed attempt | A delivery attempt did not complete | That the recipient was necessarily absent or at fault | Read the stated reason and then watch for another attempt or Return to Sender |
| Return to Sender (RTS) | A return-to-sender workflow/state is recorded after a failed delivery path | Seller receipt, marketplace verification, or refund completion | Look for return movement and the seller/platform remedy state separately |
| Ready for pickup — Shopee Self Pick-Up | The order has reached the user-facing collection-ready stage | That the parcel has already been collected | Use the Shopee order/PIN flow and look for collection completion |
| Return Pending — Shopee Return/Refund | The marketplace return request is approved enough to proceed with the return-shipping workflow | That SPX already has the physical return | Complete the selected return handover and look for pickup/drop-off acknowledgment |
| SPX return rider QR scan — Shopee return pickup | In the documented Shopee SPX flow, the rider acknowledges pickup | Seller receipt, return verification, refund approval, or payment | Follow the return shipment until seller/Shopee verification and the separate remedy state |
If an SPX Out for Delivery event remains unresolved, use Out for Delivery but Not Delivered. An address or access event may instead transition to Wrong Address or Address Information Required.
Delivery attempts: direct SPX and Shopee are different scopes
Direct SPX service
The current direct SPX Terms do not publish one fixed universal redelivery count. After a first unsuccessful delivery, the Terms say SPX may retry a number of times determined by SPX.
A failed attempt also does not by itself prove recipient fault. The direct Terms list multiple possible causes, and Shopee's SPX help material separately lists causes such as incomplete/invalid address, inaccessible or closed locations, late delivery, buyer unavailability, rescheduling/rejection, and uncontrollable events.
Shopee orders handled by SPX
For Shopee orders handled by SPX, current Shopee Help supports two delivery attempts in the marketplace context. Do not generalize that number to every direct SPX shipment.
Shopee's current help pages still disagree on the exact retry clock:
- one FAQ says two attempts occur within two consecutive days;
- the unsuccessful-delivery article says the second attempt will be made within 2–3 days.
Because both current first-party pages remain live, this page does not promise one precise retry day. The next decisive evidence is a new delivery-attempt/OFD event or an RTS event.
Delivery instructions are a request state, not a delivery guarantee
Keep these stages separate:
feature eligible
→ instruction submitted
→ accepted / confirmed where evidenced
→ applied
→ delivery result
For direct SPX service, the current Terms say a Delivery Instruction is not binding unless and until it is confirmed on the SPX Platform/Portal or by SPX, and SPX may accept or reject an instruction.
For Shopee SPX deliveries, the current Shopee Help workflow allows eligible users to set instructions after the courier has picked up the order and edit them until the order is Out for Delivery. Pressing Confirm establishes that the user submitted the request; it does not by itself prove that the instruction was operationally accepted, seen in time, or applied during delivery.
If the problem is no longer SPX-specific and an instruction or safe-place request appears to have been ignored, identify the party that can act using Who Should I Contact About a Package?.
Shopee Self Pick-Up: selection, arrival, readiness, and collection are different states
This section applies to Shopee Self Pick-Up, not every direct SPX Service Point transaction.
Self Pick-Up selected
≠ parcel arrived at the Pick-Up Point
≠ ready / arrival notification
≠ parcel collected
Shopee says the buyer receives a notification when the order is ready for pickup. The exact numeric holding rule comes from a separate current timeframe article: you have 7 days to claim the order from the day it arrives at the Pick-Up Point. Do not redefine the clock as starting when the notification is received.
Ordinary collection
Shopee's current ordinary-collection article says the collector may provide the full mobile number OR the 6-digit PIN at the Pick-Up Point. The same article says the agent releases the parcel only after the correct PIN is provided. If the PIN cannot be accessed, the article describes resending it to the registered contact channels.
Another person collecting
Shopee's current Self Pick-Up FAQ uses a different collector-specific rule: another person may collect with the correct PIN and tracking number.
These formulations are not one universal “PIN + tracking number” requirement. Keep the collector context attached to the rule.
If an order remains uncollected after the Shopee Self Pick-Up holding period, Shopee says SPX collects it and returns it to the seller.
SPX's broader Service Point program also supports other shipment/service functions. The Shopee seven-day-from-arrival rule and the Shopee collector-credential branches therefore must not be generalized to every direct SPX Service Point collection.
For Self Pick-Up help, use the current Shopee Self Pick-Up overview and the order-specific flow inside the Shopee app.
What “Delivered” proves — and what it does not
A Delivered record is evidence that the carrier system recorded completion. It is not universal proof that the named recipient personally held the parcel or that the contents and condition were correct.
In the direct SPX Terms:
- when the named recipient is absent, defined Alternative Recipients can include reception/front-office/security personnel for a commercial address or an immediate family member/household assistant for a residential address; and
- there is a scoped branch allowing a parcel to be left near the recipient's doorstep when the recipient/Alternative Recipient is unavailable, with a photograph treated as delivery evidence under that branch.
Those terms do not establish that every shipment requires a signature, that every delivery produces a publicly retrievable photo, or that every photo/signature is available through the public SPX tracker.
Therefore:
Delivered
≠ named-recipient personal receipt
≠ contents verified
≠ condition verified
≠ universal public photo or signature availability
If the parcel is missing after Delivered, first check the household, reception/security/front office where relevant, and any proof object actually available in the official system. Then use Delivered but Not Received and, when evidence itself is disputed, Proof of Delivery, Photo, or Signature.
Returns, carrier claims, and refunds are separate workflows
Do not flatten these objects into one status:
SPX operational support
≠ direct SPX investigation / contractual claim
≠ Shopee Return/Refund
≠ seller receipt / verification
≠ refund approval / payment
Shopee return through SPX
A Shopee Return/Refund request can reach Return Pending, generate return-shipping information, and expose a QR/tracking object before SPX physically receives the return parcel. Those data objects are not proof of handover.
For the current documented SPX return pickup flow, the buyer presents the QR code in Return/Refund Details and the SPX rider scans it to confirm pickup. That scan is stronger custody evidence than the earlier return request or booking.
The chain still does not collapse:
return request / QR / tracking object
≠ SPX possession
SPX rider QR scan
→ documented pickup confirmation
pickup
≠ seller receipt
≠ return verification
≠ refund approval or payment
Use the current Shopee SPX return instructions and the Return/Refund Details page in the Shopee app for the marketplace action.
Direct SPX delivery issue
For a direct SPX Delivery Order, the current Terms place the delivery-issue notification path on the Sender. The same Terms expressly say that when an e-commerce or third-party platform separately engaged SPX, delivery terms may vary and delivery issues should be raised to that platform.
That is why a direct SPX contractual claim should not be used as a substitute for a Shopee buyer's Return/Refund workflow. For general claim-readiness concepts after the carrier-specific scope is clear, use How to File a Package Claim.
Next decisive evidence
When the current state is ambiguous, do not guess the hidden physical event. Identify the next record that would materially change the conclusion.
| Current evidence | What remains unknown | Next decisive evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery Order / AWB / tracking identifier exists | Whether the parcel was physically handed to SPX | Pickup/drop-off acknowledgment or later attributable SPX receipt/facility evidence |
| Pickup booked | Whether the parcel was collected | Pickup acknowledgment or attributable custody event |
| Drop-off point selected | Whether the Service Point received the parcel | Branch receipt, acknowledgment, or later attributable SPX event |
| SPX-attributed hub/facility event | Whether it moved onward | Dispatch/departure or the next facility event |
| Out for Delivery | Whether delivery completed | Delivered or an unsuccessful/exception event |
| Failed attempt | Whether another attempt or return follows | New attempt/OFD event or RTS |
| Shopee Self Pick-Up selected | Whether the parcel reached the collection point | Arrival/ready notification |
| Shopee ready for pickup | Whether collection completed | Collector-context release and collection completion |
| Delivered | Who received it, where it was left, and what proof exists | Any available official recipient/location/POD evidence |
| Shopee return approved / Return Pending | Whether SPX has the return parcel | Rider QR scan, drop-off acknowledgment, or other documented handover evidence |
| Return picked up | Whether the seller/Shopee has received and verified it | Return-delivered plus seller/Shopee verification state |
| Return delivered | Whether the commercial remedy is complete | Marketplace/merchant refund or remedy state |

Protect shipment and proof data
Treat shipment identifiers and proof objects as private. Do not unnecessarily post or paste:
- the full tracking number;
- recipient phone number or address;
- Self Pick-Up PIN or QR code;
- rider/driver assignment or contact data;
- proof-of-delivery images;
- signatures;
- identity documents;
- bank or payment information;
- claim documents or Return/Refund evidence.
Use the minimum data required inside the official carrier or marketplace workflow.
11Tracking can help you read supported public tracking events and distinguish evidence stages. It cannot create SPX scans, prove physical possession beyond the available events, contact SPX/Shopee/a rider on your behalf, change delivery instructions or an address, reroute or hold a parcel, reveal continuous rider GPS, retrieve a private POD photo/signature, collect a Self Pick-Up parcel, file a carrier claim, open or approve a Shopee Return/Refund case, issue a refund, or recover a missing parcel.
