Where do I track a Yodel parcel now?
For a parcel that still says Yodel, old Yodel, or former Yodel, start with the current InPost tracking page.
The current Yodel website itself is now a transition surface: it tells users that Yodel by InPost has moved to InPost and routes parcel tracking, management, and help toward InPost. Current InPost guidance also directs post-transition parcel tracking to the InPost website and app.
A practical routing rule is:
Yodel / former Yodel label
→ use this page to resolve the old identity
→ track on current InPost
→ use InPost UK for current operational questions
Yodel by InPost
→ use InPost UK
Yodel Direct by InPost
→ use the separate Yodel Direct tracker
The old brand on a retailer page, saved link, email, label, or historic tracking record does not by itself mean there is still a separate current Yodel delivery network.
Is Yodel now InPost?
InPost UK acquired Yodel in April 2025. The customer-facing transition then used the name Yodel by InPost, and current first-party guidance says it moved fully under the InPost brand from 17 July 2026.
That is enough to answer the tracking question: current generic Yodel tracking now routes to InPost.
It is not accurate to flatten every legal and product detail into “Yodel was simply renamed InPost.” Current privacy material distinguishes InPost UK Limited from InPost Delivery Network Limited, the former Yodel delivery entity, and documents different roles within the current UK service.
For tracking, the useful distinction is simpler:
- Yodel can still appear as a legacy/search label.
- Yodel by InPost is part of the current InPost transition context.
- InPost UK is the current operational tracking owner for the generic parcel flow.
- Yodel Direct by InPost remains a separate product branch.
What if my parcel still says Yodel?
Do not rewrite the tracking number or assume the shipment is obsolete just because the old brand remains visible.
First identify where the Yodel name appears:
- a retailer or marketplace carrier field;
- an old shipment email or SMS;
- a saved Yodel tracking link;
- a label or parcel record;
- a current Yodel-domain transition page.
Then copy the parcel identifier exactly as supplied and try the current InPost tracker.
If the current InPost record recognizes the parcel, use that record for current movement and delivery evidence. If it does not, verify that you copied the actual carrier identifier rather than an order number, collection credential, or other reference. The tracking-number verification guide can help separate those identifiers.
Non-recognition does not by itself prove that the parcel is fake, lost, cancelled, or never shipped.
What is the old Yodel tracking page?
A Yodel-branded tracking page remains publicly accessible at:
https://www.yodel.co.uk/tracking-iframe
It can ask for a tracking number and delivery postcode. Treat this as a residual/current-accessible legacy Yodel surface, not as the preferred current primary tracker.
That distinction matters because the current InPost tracker asks for a parcel number and current transition guidance sends users to InPost.
Therefore:
old Yodel tracker is still accessible
!= old Yodel tracker is the preferred current route
old Yodel page asks for postcode
!= postcode is a universal current InPost tracking requirement
If an older Yodel link and the current InPost guidance appear to conflict, use the current InPost route first.
Yodel vs Yodel by InPost vs Yodel Direct
These names now solve different tracking decisions.
| Name on your shipment or search | What it means for this page | Best first action |
|---|---|---|
| Yodel | Legacy/search identity that still needs resolving | Use current InPost tracking |
| Former Yodel / old Yodel | Legacy parcel or identifier context | Try current InPost tracking without changing the number |
| Yodel by InPost | Current transition/InPost context | Use InPost UK Tracking |
| Yodel Direct by InPost | Separate active sending/product context | Use the Yodel Direct tracker |
Yodel Direct is especially important to separate. Its tracker asks for a Yodel Direct by InPost Reference Number, and its terms use product-specific reference language. Do not turn that example into a universal Yodel or InPost tracking-number format.
This page does not decide whether Yodel Direct should have its own separate 11Tracking landing. It only prevents a Yodel Direct shipment from being misclassified as generic former-Yodel tracking.
What tracking number should I use?
Use the identifier that came from the actual shipment context.
For current generic tracking, the InPost page asks for a parcel number. An older Yodel surface can expose different fields. Yodel Direct uses its own reference context.
No current evidence reviewed for this page establishes one universal Yodel/InPost:
- prefix;
- suffix;
- fixed length;
- checksum;
- regular expression.
Do not reject a parcel only because its number does not match a third-party Yodel format rule.
If you have several numbers and do not know which one belongs to the carrier record, see How to Find and Verify a Tracking Number.
Why might an old Yodel number not work?
A failed lookup can have more than one explanation:
- the wrong identifier was copied;
- the number belongs to a retailer or marketplace rather than the carrier record;
- the shipment is actually Yodel Direct and belongs on its own tracker;
- an older Yodel identifier is not recognized in the current public InPost lookup;
- the carrier record has not become searchable yet.
Current evidence does not prove that every historical Yodel number works in the current InPost tracker.
Keep the number exactly as issued. Do not add or remove characters to make it resemble a guessed format. If the number is still not recognized after checking its source, use Tracking Number Not Found or Not Working rather than inventing a format rule.
What does a tracking record prove?
Brand resolution and custody are different questions.
An electronic shipping record or digital label can exist before physical handover. In current InPost sending flows, a label or QR can be created before the parcel is dropped off. A recorded drop-off is stronger evidence than label creation alone, while a later event showing that InPost received the parcel is stronger evidence of carrier possession.
Use an evidence ladder:
electronic label / record exists
→ drop-off evidence
→ InPost received parcel
→ later movement or delivery evidence
Do not collapse the first step into the later ones.
Likewise:
record says Yodel
!= separate current Yodel network
brand transition to InPost
!= shipment-level physical handoff
The actual shipment events are stronger evidence than the brand label.
What if tracking has not updated?
Current InPost help says tracking should update after InPost has received the parcel. That makes the distinction between an early electronic record and later carrier receipt important.
If you only have a number or label and no receipt/acceptance event, do not assume a missing scan was created and lost. If the parcel has already been received by InPost but the record is not progressing, use the current Tracking Not Updating workflow and follow the current carrier support route for the shipment.
11Tracking can display supported public tracking events. It cannot create or backfill a carrier scan.
What does Delivered prove?
A Delivered event is important evidence, but it is not automatically proof that the named recipient personally received the parcel.
Some current InPost Home Delivery shipments can expose a delivery photograph. Current help also makes clear that proof features and delivery options are service-specific. They are not universal to every former-Yodel parcel, Locker delivery, Shop delivery, or Yodel Direct shipment.
If the current parcel is clearly an InPost UK delivery and you need current proof, safe-place, attempt, Locker, Shop, or Home Delivery rules, move to InPost UK Tracking.
If the record says Delivered but you do not have the parcel, use Package Says Delivered but I Did Not Receive It rather than treating the brand transition as the explanation.
Who should I contact about a former-Yodel parcel?
Use the party that controls the problem you actually have.
- Current carrier tracking or delivery issue: follow the current InPost route once the parcel is recognized there.
- Retailer or marketplace shipment: current InPost complaints policy can route the customer to the retailer or third party, especially where that party bought the delivery service.
- Recipient complaint: the sender can be the required first route in some current cases.
- Eligible label bought directly through InPost: use the current direct InPost claims process where its eligibility rules apply.
- Yodel Direct shipment: use the Yodel Direct product route rather than treating it as a generic former-Yodel parcel.
- Refund, replacement, or buyer protection: the retailer or marketplace normally controls that commercial remedy, not a tracking page.
If you are unsure which actor owns the next step, use Who to Contact About a Package. For claim preparation and evidence, see the Package Claim Guide.
There is no evidence-safe universal claim route for every old Yodel parcel.
What current evidence confirms — and what it does not
Current evidence confirms that:
- InPost acquired Yodel in April 2025;
- Yodel by InPost moved fully under the InPost brand from 17 July 2026;
- the current Yodel domain routes generic parcel tracking and management toward InPost;
- current generic parcel tracking is available through InPost;
- a residual Yodel tracking page remains accessible but is not the preferred current route;
- Yodel Direct remains a separate active product with its own tracker and reference context;
- current legal material distinguishes InPost UK Limited from the former-Yodel delivery entity;
- current tracking, proof, safe-place, complaint, and claim behavior can depend on the service and commercial channel.
Current evidence does not confirm that:
- Yodel remains a separate current independent delivery network;
- every historical Yodel number works in current InPost tracking;
- one Yodel/InPost number format applies universally;
- a postcode is universally required by current InPost tracking;
- Yodel Direct references are generic Yodel identifiers;
- every former-Yodel parcel exposes the same status labels or proof fields;
- a tracking record proves physical possession;
- Delivered proves personal receipt;
- one claim route applies to every recipient, retailer, marketplace, direct label, or Yodel Direct shipment.
Keep the roles separate
This page resolves the Yodel name and tracking route. It does not replace the current InPost UK operational guide.
For a parcel that is now clearly InPost UK, continue with InPost UK Tracking.
11Tracking is an independent tracking helper. It cannot contact InPost or Yodel Direct for you, recover or reroute a parcel, create carrier scans, open a private account, access a driver or live GPS, file a claim, force a refund, or guarantee delivery.
Yodel, Yodel by InPost and InPost are referenced for identification. 11Tracking is an independent tracking helper and is not affiliated with or endorsed by InPost or Yodel.
Tracking events and delivery estimates come from connected tracking services and carriers. Updates may be delayed, incomplete or revised. 11Tracking does not transport packages and cannot change a delivery.
After you track a parcel, its number is added to the page address so the result can be refreshed or shared. Anyone with that link can use the number, so share it only with people you trust.
